Are NK doctors real doctors? I can see a scenario where he’s alive on a machine but they don’t know why he’s not showing brain activity. So they ask China for help and China is like “LOL this dude has been dead for weeks.”

When Lisa Ling snuck in and filmed a bunch of stuff it was under the guise of traveling with a Mongolian doctor doing cataract surgery on 100s of villagers. So apparently they didn’t have that? Hmmm

Well for whatever reason they allowed this doctor in to do it to a bunch of villagers that came from far and wide. Then after they could see again - everyone had to get up and do a song and dance praising dear leader and chanting death to America stuff.
It was freaky. Like they were on their knees screaming and crying about dear leader and USA. It was hard to tell how much they really felt and how much was because they knew party leaders were watching. I’ve heard the countryside is still pretty brainwashed and legit thinks the Kims are gods.
If the N. Koread doctors could do it themselves you’d think they wouldn’t want to humiliation of allowing in a Mongolian doctor to do it. It could be a new technique that allows him to do dozens a day or something.
In the gullibility stakes I’d imagine some equivalence between uneducated North Korean villagers and people like wirelessbro. Both buy into the same cult bullshit but at least the NK’s have the excuse of not having access to other sources of information.

Doesn’t seem like TMZ has any more sources than the NYT, just the same rumours from unamed Chinese people.
If he’s not actually dead, he’s not doing well, otherwise someone would have seen him by now I imagine. Probably trying to figure out how to make it look like the US murdered him. If you haven’t read The Orphan Master’s Son yet, a novel set in North Korea, you should. it’s fantastic.

Can anyone recall when TMZ ran something like this and was wrong?
TMZ is usually good with their stories but unclear what source they would have that others don’t given that this is NK we are talking about.
The point is they are reliable on stuff like this unlike joke outlets like the NYT or CNN. If they say Kim is dead then I trust their judgement.
