@yuv, I can’t imagine what its like to have family in Israel at times like this and I’m sorry you have to go through this. I wish there were a way for Palestine to fight for its freedom without putting lives at risk, or that they didn’t need to fight for it at all, and I’m sorry for the impact it has on people like you and your family.

The worst clashes might end up being between Israeli Arabs and the Jewish population and armed forces in mixed cities such as Lod and Acre. That what scares me the most.
Bibi’s reign is one that is based on his own survival. One element of that was to “give” the israeli arab population “autonomy”. in reality it meant that police never entered those areas and allowed crime families to take over. there were countless of violent crimes and murders inside arabic cities and endless amount of illegal weapons that the government didn’t do anything because they were killing other arabs so why should they care.
This is super-prejudicial and abhorrent. It’s also straight out of the Mark Levin show.

The antisemitic angle used to be that Jews couldn’t be true Americans because they owe allegiance to Israel and thus could not serve the interests of America.
Now it’s the opposite. Now if you don’t support Israel you’re an antisemite.
White supremacists can now both disassociate themselves from antisemitism and claim that liberals are the true antisemites.

the reports from Netanyahu cabinet meeting are making me physically sick. He is taking the country hostage and will stop at nothing to stay in control.

there’s a full blown civil war raging on in Lod and Acre (both mixed cities). now Netanyahu wants to get the army in there. this is the worst case scenario.

I’m Israeli, currently in the US while my wife is doing her postdoctoral. our visa ends in the end of the year so I’ll be living in Israel again soon. Every single person I know is in Israel.
