Egypt blockades as well and checks things at its border to try to stop the terror network from building just as Israel does.
Egypt has relations with Hamas, and wants to make an agreement, but they are not just defending their border, they are blockading it as well
and again Israel is supplying most of the electricity and water to Gaza so i would hardly call that blockading it

We supply all the power and water and food to people in prison. At the very least, if Israel is going to pretend Gaza is governed by Gaza, they have to leave the port alone.

Why am I supposed to be shocked and horrified that Israel’s decision to withdraw from Gaza, a calculated move they took to deliberately sabotage the peace process, worked as intended?
look at how many missles and rockets got into gaza with Israel blockading the port. if they did not blockade the port israel would be blown off the map
so should they have kept settlements in gaza? should they have expanded settlements in gaza?

i dont know all the intelligence but if the rockets are hidden in civilian areas and shot from civilian areas hen some civilian casualities will occur. I have conceded Israel needs to do a better job of preventing civilian casualties

If they were going to withdraw from Gaza in good faith, then they should give the Gazans actual autonomy and let them have control of their port and airspace.

I dont work for the UN. That body should condemn Hamas for the rocket attacks and take the neccesary steps to stop them, regardless of their actions towards Israel.
