Jerusalem Clashes 2021

I’m sure you don’t even see the irony in your saying, “but muh civility” lmao

If civility isn’t important to you then intellectually, you’re no better than the MAGAts and people like Trump himself. Take your condescending bullshit to the streets man and see how far that gets you, instead of hiding behind a screen. At least I’d have some respect if you could prove some toe to toe name calling

At the heart of the I/P problem is the question of statelessness.

Why does Israel exist? Because of things like the Nuremberg Laws, which stripped German Jews of their citizenship and made them stateless non-nationals. Given the history of antisemitism, it made sense to want to guarantee that Jews could not be made stateless again by creating Israel, a place where they could always retreat to if the world turned against them.

From my perspective, one state vs two states (or three, as I sometimes propose) it not that important. What is important is that Palestinians should not be a stateless people, as they currently are. Israel would like most of them to be citizens of preexisting states and to vacate any claim to their current land. The Palestinians would like to have their own state, one which is bigger than the land they currently occupy.

I’m not a fan of evicting Palestinians from their homes or making conditions bad enough that they consider fleeing. They should be citizens of a state without having to move. Israel should decide if that state is Israel or another state. What it shouldn’t do is create some sort of Palestinian bantustan which is nominally free.

the hate mail those guys get is probably quite a read.

For those taking notes, the one on the left is Yair Lapid, who is the quote on quote centrist. Mansour Abbas on the right is the head of a very religious Muslim party. In the center is Neftali Bennett.

I will remain skeptic until they manage to pass this in the Knesset.

Yeah man people in the streets definitely have issue with me and tell me to be civil when I call someone a fascist. You’ve got your ear to the ground man

I find Abbas’ decision here interesting from a politlcal and moral view. I think it’s worth a discussion but i’m also a bit scared.

You’re making my point. People who scream degrading names to others behind a screen will not be so bold in person. That’s why you do it online, duh

Except I didn’t say, “my” face. But nice try at another failed attempt of defamation and lying

Don’t you hide behind a gun? Even when you jog?

that is quite the mischaracterization but you do you

Why does Egypt control even one border? Are you okay with Egypt controlling one border?

thank you for this post.

i fully believe you here. i do think israel goes by the “any means to the ends” when going after terrorists. I do not think they target civilians but do not care much if they end up being necesary victims to reach their end and it is something that definitely needs to change

How about you get back to me when one closed crossing is the worst thing happening to people in Gaza?
