Israel is essentially a state sponsor of terrorism at this point.
They’re the terrorists. We’re the state sponsors of terror. Such as it basically ever was though. Before the Israelis dived off the deep end we were sponsoring others.

If you are an actual moron who yells “israel has the most moral army in the world”, sure, it’s important you know more. It doesn’t. I discussed Israel’s strategy of limiting Fatah’s power and Netanyahu’s political survival strategy here.
It didn’t touch anything that makes the conflict complicated. Israel suck and occupation is bad is the easy part. The problem is that the ‘complexity’ of some of those issues is used as an excuse by right-wing assholes to not discuss the simple truth (israel suck, occupation is bad), which in return makes really discussing problematic stuff impossible as people justifiably don’t want to because it’s very rarely done in good faith.

My instinctive reaction is to say, no shit Palestinians are pissed. The Israeli government keeps kicking them off of more and more land and taking away their homes. I don’t think it’s any more anti semitic to criticize the Israeli government than it’s un American to criticize any government including our own
Most Jewish people I’ve talked to about this tell me I don’t understand the threat of suicide bombers the people of Israel must endure and Israel is just defending itself. I don’t quite buy that, but have no way of knowing for sure. Seems they have a much more powerful military and are backed by “the” most powerful military on earth. Do they really have to target mosques, homes, and buildings with civilian populations even if that’s what the other side does? If there’s one Hamas target in a building that makes it okay to kill children and civilians?
As long as people believe in holy lands and fairy tales there will never be peace. But doesn’t more recent history tell us that Arabs wanted to break from Turkish rule and England helped them establish this territory? Not sure who was their first. I know Native Americans were here long before most of us were and we certainly were the villains in that scene and the little we do now to make it up can never be enough for what we did

Also, (and this seems the most anti semitic question I have), but why does a religion need to be a nation? I get the horrors Jewish people endured during the holocaust, but I can never get a straight answer to that question. There are Jewish people from all over the globe and afaik, are the only ones who demand land as a nation due to religion. Sorry if that’s anti semitic. I don’t mean it to be.
