Victor’s not a fascist and the “you said someone’s talking points” argument is stupid bad faith bs every single time.

He’s wrong here and you were not failing to blame Israel, but he’s not a fascist.

I don’t particularly care what ‘he is’. He keeps using ‘libs’ as an insult. It would be funny to very easily rip apart what he think ‘he is’.

I already explained why his thoughtful argument, that Hamas can never do something not only in the interest of the Palestinian people and his claim that both are interchangeable, to be fascists in origin. His disregard for human life and lack of empathy (“cry about loud noises”) are both stereotypical characteristics of it.

He might not be. As I said, I don’t care about it. His posts here definitely are. I don’t consider it an insult either. He’s also not ‘wrong’, he’s lying. It’s an important different.

But I’ll drop it now because obviously I’m the one who got trolled and that’s never a good look.

Dunno if anyone read this, or is going to, but here’s an interview of a communist in Israel on the issue of race. I believe he is a professor at Hebrew University. One of the interviewers is the author of the piece I linked before and is a poster on this board. I haven’t listened to it yet, but am starting it now.

Hamas are not firing rockets into the West Bank. Even if they wanted to, the aim isn’t good enough and they will just end up hitting Palestinians targets. Rarely they fire at Jerusalem and could hit “Eastern Jerusalem” settlements (not really east but that’s the common name), but they try to avoid it for those reasons I imagine.

Seems to me that they asked a social media agency if it had a Israeli Trumpbot setting.

usually its like 20k quote RTs dunking on them

not going to amplify the asshole by posting a link, but brett steph…,…ens is once again doing his fan-fic around palestine. in his lizard brain, the logic chain goes from everyone on the left getting nobel peace prizes and international money investing into palestine, to israel being forced to do a land invasion of gaza and west bank.

Imagine an alternative universe in which an enlightened Israeli government did almost everything progressive America demanded of it.

But there would be flies in this ointment.

Damascus would refuse to recognize Israel until it agreed to return the Golan Heights, which even the most left-wing Israeli government would refuse to do, given Bashar al-Assad’s record of brutality and Iran’s extensive military presence in Syria.

Lebanon, dominated as it is by Hezbollah (an Iranian proxy), would also refuse to recognize Israel, using the pretext of the Shebaa Farms, a sliver of land that Beirut claims is occupied Lebanese territory, even though the U.N. says otherwise.

As for Gaza, the end of the so-called blockade (“so-called” because plenty of licit goods reach Gaza today through Israeli border crossings) would turn the steady trickle of military equipment into the strip, most of it from Iran, into a cascade. Hamas, which currently makes do with relatively unsophisticated rockets, would replenish its arsenal with more powerful guided munitions, able to reach any target in Israel.

This would require Israel to change its military doctrine toward Hamas. Out would be the approach of periodically degrading the group’s military capabilities through targeted strikes. In would be a strategy calling for a full-scale land invasion and reoccupation of the strip in order to defend the Israeli heartland from Hamas’s missiles. The casualty count in the next war would be multiples of what it is today.

The Israeli military said it had “struck an underground military structure” belonging to the militant group Hamas, which controls Gaza, beneath the street. “The underground foundations collapsed, causing the civilian housing above them to collapse, causing unintended casualties,” it added.

What were they expecting to happen?

Had no idea the conditions in Gaza were so horrifying. This shit is abhorrent.

Good chapo ep.

I have a few friends from college who are Palestinian and now are back in the ME. The conversations I had with them over beers and have had since about the realities of their “home” were super chilling. The fact our tax dollars go to terrorize people (Gaza is definitely just one of many places) is super depressing to me.

The guest mentioned that residents of Gaza have electricity on average 4 hours a day. And something like 95% of the water isn’t potable.

Ya. I mean jews have been getting fucked over forever and that isn’t right either. That being said this is firmly in two wrongs don’t make a right territory for me. And your everyday Palestinian has nothing to do with atrocities towards jewish people and yet they pay the price for that in everyday life.

Weird Israel immediately violates the ceasefire
