Funny, I did the same thing, only I said
Brasilia
Still managed to get it, although I didn’t actually know Canberra was a planned city.

That is also my default planned city guess.
Absolutely atrocious FJ bets tonight
never seen a game where all 3 contestants won
I was curious if its ever happened before but havent been able to have an answer.
Wait, wat? Not sure what you mean. I might need to watch this one.
Its a tournament, so the winner advanced and the two losers had high enough scores to qualify as wild cards
Oh, I’m sure I’ve seen that.
Most of the times it happens, it won’t be know until days later.
Unless you’re saying that it was weird that it happened on exactly the last day. Maybe I haven’t seen that, but I don’t know what that’s any more special than if it happened on a Wednesday.
Wheel of Fortune
I was baffled as to what any of them were trying to achieve. I don’t think I would’ve bet more than what was needed to cover first if I was in second or third, given the high scores.
It’s hard to say, though, tournament quarterfinal wagering is a much different animal than in regular games.
1st round tournament bets are always awful. like you have some dipshit with 10k bet something like 2k. If you’re right, 12k is maybe enough to get a wild card but definitely not for sure, while 8k has basically zero shot. just braindead.
It’s true that 1st round FJ betting is “harder” than in regular games but it’s not fucking rocket science.
Standard rule of thumb for tournament play is 12-13K is enough for a wild card spot.
I’m pretty sure the correct play is $0 by third, and just enough to cover 1st but stay ahead of third for second, and then $0 by first.
I went from 1st to 2nd in a tournament game by basically not betting on FJ. I had an unfair advantage-- I saw the scores for the first game on a staff member’s piece of paper while awaiting my game.
A bunch of friends and relatives thought I was eliminated and never saw my second game. Sprinkled in over the next year were people trying to politely ask me why I’m such a moron who didn’t bet enough.

Sajak sucks worse than any J! host including Mike Richards.
I mean, he has little say in the matter. Thats 100% a judges decision
She’s crazy lucky that it was the car.
It’s a horrible rule and viewers cannot possibly be happy with the show when they see this crap.
WTF at not awarding the prize there. Who does this benefit?
Do the rules define how long a pause can or cannot be? Because if not, it’s way too subjective.
