Secondarily, I don’t want the kind of attention that this could bring from elsewhere. I don’t want to get on the radar. I have personally not been careful about my anonymity, and that’s my own responsibility, but the fact remains that there is no way in fucking hell I want to be associated with the narrative that this invites, however disingenuous and FOS it is. It’s relevant to me and could have real repercussions however irrelevant to those of you who have nothing to lose from it. I understand that it is not anyone else’s issue but mine except how my presence here matters or doesn’t to anyone.

I’m not really sure I understand what’s going on. Someone could track you down and eff with you virtually, but that’s more likely to happen because you said “Fuck Trump” too many times than because you advocated for the violent overthrow of the US government. As far as this affecting you in real life, again, I don’t expect anyone is going to hold NotBruceZ’s posts against you. Or that you posted on a website where some other people played a stupid game.

I wasn’t going to play the game and don’t care much about where these lines are drawn really, but whatever, it’s over right? And the line is never going to be settled and there will never not be some drama, not with 300 or whatever different opinions.

That reminds me. I worked with a guy who ate a peanut butter sandwich every day for lunch. No jelly/jam. One day I had a PB&J sandwich and he was incredulous that I would put jam on it. It was not just that he thought it was bad, it was like he literally had never heard of anyone putting jelly/jam on a peanut butter sandwich.

Also reminds me of how I made a PB&J sandwich for someone one time and they said “not much jam, just paint it on”.

This also reminds me of something Dids posted in OOT about thoughts that you have over and over, like every time you do or see X, you have thought Y. This sort of thing happens to me. I posted about how when I take a shower I always think about a scene from Friends where Joey uses the soap and no washcloth and Chandler says that the last person used on their butt last and the first place you use it is on your face. Anyway, when I think of that or any other of a number of those things since, I also think of Dids and that thread.

I respect you and Cuse. I really do. But I still don’t get why this is a big thing. There were so many pro Charlottesville posts on 2p2. No one quit 2p2 over that. There have been so many “x belongs in the Hague posts” no one disagrees with that.

We all understand the point of the thread is “affluent people who are ruining the world.” We know their affluence is hurting the world, and maybe the French revolution stuff is in poor taste, but is it in poorer taste than the actual harm these people are doing? Not significantly so imo. We’re just lucky enough that we’re affluent enough ourselves to not be in the tens of thousands of families who will now starve because of not getting SNAP benefits.
