You’re right about most people not doing anything revolutionary, but the people who do revolutionary stuff usually post about it, at least anonymously. Thinking of that guy who attacked the immigration prison and pisspiggrandad in particular, but I think it’s more the rule than the exception. The violent right wingers all have posting histories as well.

You guys are legit running off valued long-time regs to varying degrees. I’ll be posting less, others are pondering quitting all together. If the pro violent rhetoric group doesn’t already have UP on some sort of watch list you’re well on your way.
It’s at the point where I’m actually regretting starting the intermediary site that got us to UP because, as it turns out, some of the attacks this community was getting on 2p2 are far more accurate than I realized.
And the great tragedy is that the net impact of UP on the world is going to be far less and far less positive in the direction it’s now headed than it could have been. It’s really a shame.

I don’t really see how “you posted in a forum where someone else posted something terrible” is a big problem for anyone. Will Jman be fired if he posts anything ever on Chiefsplanet? @Trolly posts on Chiefsplanet. Doesn’t someone have to actually look at his posts before it’s a problem? And if it’s about him supporting a place that does things he doesn’t like, well, I don’t think Disney is that great either, but that’s up to him. Glad he doesn’t use Facebook or Twitter though. If someone thinks this is a club where everyone is supposed to agree on stuff and somehow our membership is an endorsement of other people’s ideas, well, I don’t agree with that.

It’s all bluster. There’s a distance of light years between whatever this impotent, pseudo-revolutionary noise is, and genuine, historical visitations.
I flirt with ideas of violence in moments of despair, but if I was actually committed to those acts and the greatest chance at self-preservation, I sure wouldn’t broadcast that anywhere.

Personally I have no issues regarding talking about revolution anywhere but I highly doubt I’m going to be too affected if this happens, being an Australian. Unless of course Trump gets voted out refuses to cede power and some sort of military coup occurs and Australia becomes even more of a servant to the US than it is already. I do have an issue with people being subjected to racist slurs and sexist opinions making the existing power balance skew even more heavily in favour of white males.
