Same issue, Russian fed DQed her, likely to make their initial DQ have more weigh behind it. No evidence given aside from the word of a corrupt organization. Same org that gave the Italian woman (gee, what do the Russian and Italian government have in common?) A $50k euro “winners purse” for kicking off this entire firestorm by throwing her match early on.
Its just blatant, open corruption to push an anti-trans agenda from two of the largest right wings governments on the planet.

Can’t imagine being a gymnast and having it all come down to a 1:30 on the beam. Other sports are an hour and a half long.
That’s what I’ve always told my daughter. Her sport is so much more difficult and stressful than any of mine ever were. One little slip-up and you’re done, plus you’re at the mercy of the judges.
In baseball, if I gave up a homer (spoiler: I didn’t), I can still have a great game and go on to win. In basketball, I can have a bad shooting night, but still contribute in other ways and win. In track or cross country, I don’t have to run a perfect race. I can even stumble and still do well (though I was extremely average, so I never had any thoughts of actually winning, except in relays).
Seville ran a 9.81 in the semis too!

just checked the women world record is even further than the mens world record. No mentioning of doping implications on the wikipedia page which u have a lot regarding athletes from East Germany.

It’s a number from 0-80, in cm. It’s how “deep” the box (where you put the pole) is in relation to the bar.
Speed climbing is very spooky, these athletes go up a 90 degree wall faster than I can go up stairs.
