It does not involve a rapper who goes by the name of Chance.
You all should not interpret my lack of responses to each and every guess or idea as in any way indicative of accuracy or inaccuracy. I will try to comment on all of the more specific guesses or help a little when people are heading in a wildly inaccurate direction, such as the chancellor of Germany.
I know this is true for some significant percentage and it’s frustratingly shortsighted. Insularity is fundamentally at odds with a healthy community.

We’ve lost a lot of people in the transition. I really think we have to be proactive about attracting new users and finding ways to keep people from checking out if this is going to be viable. OTOH, there is an active community of several diehard 22ers who’ve weirdly committed themselves to spending years gaslighting and griefing and eventually hijacking this community, so some level of caution is warranted.
I still kinda think maybe someone should drop a mention of our site to Reddit politics communities, but I don’t know enough about Reddit to know if that’s a terrible idea or not.

I do that on occasion, usually in high trafficked and retweeted threads.
All those folks from the NSA following the twitter account prefer to just lurk the forum.
