Also, even if it were legal in Florida, you can always run into issues if you start bringing minors across state lines for sexual purposes. Flying your 17 year old girlfriend out to visit you on a trip might just seem like a fun vacation, but federal authorities might see it differently. [And that’s even assuming one of the more “innocent” versions of conduct that could violate a federal statute].
Is he going to go with the story that she was his girlfriend, no money was exchanged, and they never had sex in Florida, only in states where she is above the age of consent?
