I assume the opposing view is that the genocide didn’t happen, or at least the numbers are greatly exaggerated. Perhaps just a few bad apples as opposed to a systematic campaign of extermination.

I got suspended in middle school for stealing a mouseball from a teacher’s mouse. The principal, a man so stupid that he once served as a referee at the Orange Bowl, wrote “dismantled, dispersed, and distributed computer parts,” because middle school principals often use their innate ability to alliterate to get the job.
My mom took me to buy a new mouseball that evening, dude was flabbergasted to see me in the halls the next day, he thought I would be suspended for over a week.
Sadly, that mouse was never able to have children.

Fucking schools are insane. Can’t remember if I told this story on here, but I got suspended AND had to do community service in middle school because… I got sucker punched. I don’t remember why the kid did it, I think he was in a hurry to get to PE and me and my friends didn’t clear the way for him. Anyways in the locker room he just walked up and punched me right in front of the teacher. Was immediately broken up, never touched him. Zero tolerance though lol.
My parents were too fucked up to fight it though so just had to deal with it.

What on earth. How are school administrators doing this and not getting their asses kicked? That would have been a guaranteed beating from my dad. Even my grandmother roughed a teacher up once.
And then the school admin would’ve gotten suspended.

Sorry its Law Bros again. Schools have to have a policy and enforce it or they get sued to high heaven.
I think it was (may still be) common for zero tolerance in fights and everyone getting punished equally.
This obviously benefits the bully more than anyone as they can provoke to greater levels without having to do anything.
It is very much throwing up your hands in a he said he said or she said she said situation. It’s difficult for a grade school kid to prove their total innocent when there is a fight.
There’s not nearly as much difference as you’d want between this and some of y’all commenting on the photo in the beginning of this article a few weeks ago:
