absolutely call the school either Principal, Vice Principal or (I’m not sure how it works with your kid’s school) the head of the department if they have that for this subject. Like @StimAbuser wrote include examples of why they are a shit source. Also, nice job raising the kid that can recognize bullshit in 7th grade!
