Cool, everyone should post a direct map to Greg abbots house and the instructions to make a Molotov cocktail.
Ah yes, the Republican “me me me” heuristic again. Willful ignorance is a valid “viewpoint” that must be protected and private enterprise cannot suppress it. Also, if you don’t want to serve icky gays that’s also your right as a private enterprise because free markets and job creators.
Cool, we should all file for r/conservative and all the other platforms that ban people for liberal views.
That’s whats funny. The only people that ban other for their views are conservatives. Well I guess thats not true, when places like twitter ban people for racism and threats of violence that is conservative views.
Its a dead horse, but a big political culture issue that the Dems have completely failed to confront is that Republicans demand Big Government intervention power for themselves and Small Government intervention power for everyone else. All they’ve done with this systemic flaw in the political system is internalize that Big Government is bad when it is helping poor people. BUT HOW ARE WE GONNA PAY FOR IT!?!?!
Oh I know. We should do it as a troll
Ah, the good old carefree days of 9/11 hysteria, amazing Twitter thread.

Lol that cover, don’t know if I have ever seen a literal crying liberty cartoon outside of the onion.
We’re you not around from 2001-2005? Whole country was like that, dumbest shit I’ve ever seen. I’m still a little traumatized by the idiocy.
Watching the Netflix 9/11 documentary - had somehow forgotten how awful the CIA / FBI was in the lead up. Like, we spend infinity money on these assholes and they can’t catch a bunch of guys practically waving around “WE ARE TERRORISTS” flags.
The cartoonist is a lib too.
The cartoonist was a fascist. Lots of decent people suddenly became fascists after 9/11. Honestly if you have kids you should get them that book of cartons to teach them how fucking stupid and angry and violent this country was in that era.
The Boondocks knew what was up

The looming tower was a fun read
The power of the images playing out live on TV was what did this. As we’ve seen with COVID, 3000 abstract deaths a day mean nothing, 3000 in your face deaths on TV played on repeat ad nauseum whip people into a frenzy.
I’ll go to my grave thinking that under a different administration we would have gotten live camera walk throughs of COVID ICU’s that traumatized everyone into staying home and wearing masks extremely carefully in public. 500k fewer people at least would have died.
Also under a different administration we would have had the CDC aggressively running a track and trace operation from the very beginning.
Instead we pretended it wasn’t happening and this happened.
We should be spending some time thinking about how to build the government surveillance infrastructure so that we can track and trace people during the next pandemic.
