Does spreading it affect Dems vs Republicans or does it just affect less deplorable Republicans vs more deplorable Republicans? I don’t really care if the Stefaniks of the world beat the Cheneys.

but again, it’s not like spreading it is any better or worse specifically because she is or is not faking it. It’s damaging, it literally does not matter if she has brain damage or if she’s just cosplaying. fwiw, it seems extremely unlikely that she’s literally this dumb, she may or may not actually believe in the overt goals, but none of it matters. E.g. if someone votes to implement a voter suppression law (as a legislator, or as a citizen by voting for someone who supports this stuff) it literally doesn’t matter if that person genuinely believes that there is massive voter fraud or not, it doesn’t matter if they’re lying and just want to stop black people from voting as easily, all that matters is the result. Don’t waste time trying to read their minds.

The concern is that she’s in the point now where she needs to make a name for herself with the base. So by strategically planting things so stupid that she knows the left will amplify them, that will help raise the base’s awareness of her.

The better you understand them the better you can deal with them. If they’re true believers you don’t have to worry about them cleverly outmaneuvering you. If they’re insincere, you can expose them as hypocrites when they break character. Do those things matter? TBD I guess.
It’s not just her though. It’s mtg, tucker Carlson etc. It’s not a coincidence those two people piss libs get off the most and are the most popular figures on the right.
If I could control all lib social media and appearances on MSM I would just have us all laugh our asses at how stupid and embarrassing everyone on the right is, I think that would make a huge dent in their turn out.
