The million dollar man never actually kicked the basketball away from poor black children though. Calling it professional wrestling when there are people involved who arent in on the Kayfabe is super dangerous.
This shit has real consequences. Pro wrestling my aching dick
Misunderstanding the analogy, their sincere goal = being able to kick the basketball away from poor black children. They are “pretending” to be drooling morons who happily eat Trump’s shit to be bestowed with the honor of kicking the basketball.
Stefanik is not this dumb. I’m starting to think this stuff is actually strategic bad faith. It’s meant to be so stupid that the left will amplify it to make fun of her, which will cause the right-wing base to think she must be on to something and rally around her.
It’s pretty incredible to see Idiocracy happen in real time. At the rate we’re going the entirety of Congress will be made up of these complete dumbasses in another two election cycles.
Maybe. There are lots of Republicans that just say stupid shit they know their base will clap for. Ted Cruz comes to mind - I dont know if I would call him smart, but a lot of the dumb stuff he says is totally without sincerity, so one can’t really infer that dumb statements imply dumb speaker.
Nothing says “not elitist” than hopping in a helicopter and cruising with your buddies (read: background extras) in a huge military vehicle.
EDIT: Shit like this is the reason why I almost never apply to be an extra in a commercial. They usually don’t tell you what it’s for before you submit. I would be horrified if I ended up on set and it was some shit like this.
Mike Lindell has pulled all advertising from Fox News cause they won’t air his commercial because somehow, even fox news has standards and won’t go that far.
the funny part is that at first he’s at a country club wearing a sweater over a shirt. like he was cosplaying the rich, but realized that he doesn’t belong there and better off cosplaying like an american neosupremacist.
One constant of the Soviet-style political environment that deplorables live in is that you always need to speculate about who the next fall guy is going to be, and try to get out in front of it and shun them before its too late. My guess is that Fox is hedging against someone coming down really hard on Pillow Guy, and anticipating Donnie Dumb Dumb’s “I never met the guy” act.
The point is if this stuff is strategic, and we’re actually abetting it by spreading it (not here, but on twitter), then maybe we should rethink our strategy.
