The only correct response to this is to pass new legislation and be like “good news Addison, 6 new seats just opened up and we’re gonna fill them all now!” Of course in reality Breyer will die on 1/6/23 and they’ll hold the seat open until DeSantis can fill it.

Fun anecdote, there’s an awesome local chain of coffee shops that started in St Augustine that I visit every time I’m home. They roast their beans and generally do a fantastic job and can make a great pour over. I got to know the owner real well, and he’s a liberal atheist, but his stores are overwhelmingly popular with the religious conservative crowd, so he just keeps it on the DL and takes their money.
