I would say the party insiders were split on her. She was embraced by the Freedom Caucus. Kevin McCarthy criticized her before she was elected. Steve Scalise, the minority whip, endorsed her primary run-off opponent and did a fundraiser for him. I think they mostly hoped she would go away and they wouldn’t have to deal with her.
they could not have primaries and just have insiders pick the candidates, like they used to do. Primaries are essentially a function of private organizations that for some reason our public election infrastructure is used for, which gives a lot of people the impression that they’re somehow an intrinsic part of our system, which they are not.
What did you guys decide on the c-word?

This is so good.
Who sued Newsmax to force their lawyer to draw up that statement?
Dominion. I don’t know if they are actually suing Newsmax, but they are suing many others, and several deplorable news organizations have put out similar statements to try and stay off the list.
According to WaPo they haven’t even sued anyone yet - just sent nasty letters. Shows you how much FoxNews and Newsmax know they’re completely FOS.
Really need to sue My Pillow guy into oblivion. Get this shit in a trial. The Q people can get all excited about it, then at least maybe a few fence-sitting semi-normies or redeemable Q-heads will see there’s zero evidence.
If 64 failed lawsuits didn’t… yeah not even going to complete that sentence.
The crazy lady said they failed because the judge didn’t allow the evidence in court.
That’s what the idiots on twitter keep saying. We need a moment with Mike Lindell, on TV and the judge asks “Ok what is your evidence” and eventually the judge says - “None of this is actual evidence for reasons XYZ.”
Do I think this is going to flip any significant number of them? No. But maybe for someone who’s looking to get out of the Q-hole, that could be the final straw. These people literally earnestly believe this stuff. They’re not bullshitting. Pump them all up that finally they’re going to have their day in court, then it gets annihilated. I dunno maybe it helps a little.
Its just literally the Simpsons clip where Lionel Hutz says hearsay is a form of evidence
What the heck?
Dominion has sued Giuliani and Powell. They sent cease and desist letters to Newsmax, Foxnews, OAN etc., which led to the disclaimers and them no longer pushing the false claims. I think they sent similar to Giuliani and Powell, and then sued when they kept pushing the claim. Sending the cease and desist letter before suing is a common legal maneuver. If prevents the defendant from claiming they were not aware the claims were false.
I read articles about people who leave Q all the time. Something had to trigger them. I’m all about saving anyone we can. We can’t have some % of this country in a psycho death cult forever. IMO we have to actively try to nudge people out of it who might want to get out anyway and chip away at it.
I mean anyone who fell for Q is just gonna fall for the next Weekly World News conspiracy these fraudsters cook up. Have you ever met an addict that was fully recovered and never relapsed?
For a lot of them is a very strong pull from their family members. Plenty of people join cults and then pull out of them.
And yes I’ve met plenty of addicts who are sober now, even if they. relapsed once or twice.
National enquirer and all those magazines I never understood how anyone bought or believed them. I couldn’t fathom someone buying them and believing it was real. It was the strangest thing to me as a kid. Seeing how all these people believe in these random wacky conspiracies it makes more sense to me now. If it wasn’t so dangerous I would find it hilarious.
