Wait until MTG finds out what George Washington did to his soldiers to protect the army from Smallpox.

You think being told to wear a mask and take a vaccine is The Holocaust?

Speaking of which

In an article detailing out how Republicans are restricting the ballot process

In South Dakota, where in 1898 a socialist Catholic priest named Robert Haire pioneered the American ballot initiative process, Republicans this year passed a law mandating a minimum type size of 14 points on ballot initiative petitions. Combined with a requirement that all initiatives, along with their signatures, fit on a single sheet of paper, the new type size will force people gathering signatures for petitions to tote around large pieces of paper, including some that unfold to the size of a beach towel.

Correct. The irony is that the US effectively has a broad institutionalized monarchy where the rich and their kids are treated like royalty. They’re just as undeserving and transparently stupid as the European upper class that the country was mythologically created to improve upon.

This is how it goes. Late stage feudalism was dumb af too.

Living through it makes it very understandable. So many people that could do something are the people that have moderate wealth and power, but their moderate wealth and power comes from the obviously perverse system, so where’s their motivation to really question anything? Its way easier to just pretend all the pageantry is valid and go with the flow.

It goes until it gets real strong competition. Next system needs to be the one where we end inheritance as a concept. Something to stop the snowballing.

Yeah, it’s quite an experience living through what might likely be the death throes of capitalism.

Hypercapitalist dystopia seems far more likely imo.

Agree.

<—more egalitarian------------------------capitalism—neofeudalism/fascism—>

We are far more likely to keep veering right on the continuum than left.

So I went to my “favorite RWNJ” facebook

I AM GOING TO RANT HERE…I JUST WARN YOU…THERE IS A PERSON (WHO SHALL REMAIN NAMELESS) THAT APPROACHED ME LAST YEAR TO “MEND FENCES”…I COMPLIED. I SUBSEQUENTLY (NOT IMMEDIATELY) ASKED THIS PERSON A QUESTION BASED ON A CONCERN THAT I HAD…THE REPLY I RECEIVED WAS HATEFUL (MAJOR ATTITUDE) AS IF
I HAD ASKED A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT QUESTION. I WAS NOT ASKED TO CLARIFY MY QUESTION AT ALL…THE PERSON MADE A HUGE ASSUMPTION (AN INCORRECT ONE) ABOUT THE QUESTION…BROKEN FENCES (PROBABLY FOREVER)…WHAT DO YOU THINK…I THINK I AM “OVER IT” BUT HURT MY FEELINGS AFTER I LET THIS PERSON “BACK IN”…

(I also saw her post she was glad all caps lock made people mad. Make the libs mad no matter what)

Obviously she left out the details, because of course the details would make her look bad. But I do wonder what subject is being discussed here.

Leaving out all the details entirely is so Republican.

I’ll never forgive Trump for introducing the scourge of stupid (ugly!) parentheses.

I simply suggested that we round up all the (insert current ethnic/religious group of concern) and put them in camps for their own safety. And the response I got was pure HATRED. I am the victim here.
