GOAT Pie Tourney

key lime pie is one of those things that unless it’s perfect, it’s pretty fucking gross but when you get a top notch one it’s fucking amazing, transcendent

But shouldn’t get it. (Though it’s tough to get too exercised about this race since they’re clearly just playing for the chance to get thumped by apple pie even though both are better pies.)

Pumpkin pie is like the McRib.

Very tasty, but if it were made year round, it might lose some of it’s cachet.

Except McRib tastes like shit.

I haven’t had the McRib. It never looks at all appealing to me.

Anyway, I’m pretty sure pumpkin pie is in the freezer at the grocery store alongside all the other pies year-round. It does migrate to more display cases around this time, but I think it’s always around. And I generally reject the notion of seasonality of the pumpkin flavor. I’ve never made pies, but I happily bake pumpkin cookies in April or whenever.

It tastes pretty much like what it looks like to you.

That’s how we got Trump.

Pumpkin flavour anything is some insane mass delusion that has infected the world in the past 10 years.

It’s like a choice between 4 Trumps tho.

That’s a spicy take imo

I did vote for French Silk, after some thought.
I do like dark chocolate, but not as much as other people seem to like chocolate.

Gonna vote against Apple every time!
You had Cherry. You had Strawberry/Rhubarb. But Apple??? Apple, that needs all that shit thrown at it to make it ok…??? Might as well have made a potato pie w added sugar & cinnamon…

Hyperbole, but not by much…

Do you not do pumpkin pie at Canadian Thanksgiving?

How long do you think pumpkin pie has been around?

I think he’s referring to the rise of the Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte and associated offshoots, which started exactly 20 years ago.

He said what he said: “pumpkin flavored anything” and we’re talking about pies here. I LOL the pumpkin spice latte as much as the next person, but it’s completely irrelevant to the discussion.

My point was somehow the world took the nut low pie and made it a huge trend flavour.

I know that it’s hyperbole, but it’s nowhere near nut low. Did you not see this abomination?
