Looks like our final four is officially set.
Top overall seed, Apple, has steamrolled its way into the semifinals against the only remaining double digit seed, Banana Cream, which upset 2 top seeds to get here.

fun tournament but for my palette a cursed bracket since three of the semifinalists are meh and one is ass (sorry but bananas make me unhinged I condemn them), and essentially all of my favorite pies except for pecan were in the northeast bracket. Maybe I just don’t like pie enough but idk for me there are not many things better in life than an A+ piece of key lime pie. But thanks to JH for the tournament who gets a pass for everything on earth because he’s held onto his sanity in spite of this huskers spreadsheet that has legit broken five of my cousins and an uncle

Pumpkin versus French silk is my annual debate on thanksgiving. I usually end up eating both, but the French silk is first.

In most cases fruit pie is not the best dessert relying on that fruit.
Apple Crisp > Apple Pie
Blueberry Crisp > Blueberry Pie
Peach Cobbler > Peach Pie
Strawberry Shortcake > Strawberry Pie
However, Cherry Pie is probably the best cherry dessert.

Pumpkin is not a fruit, I don’t care what the nerds say. And I realize this is apparently a hot take in this thread, but lime is for drinks and occasional flavoring, not dessert. Key Lime Pie is a Floridian abomination.
No I’m basically with you, Key Lime was easily the weakest remaining when it finally went away. But I guess I wouldn’t go so far as “abomination” because I’d still eat a slice if it was the one dessert option at something where I was having dessert.
