Apple is fine, but it’s one of the weakest pies left. Its overwhelming strength is a bit unfortunate.
Pumpkin pie being still in is an abomination. I get it, it’s right before Thanksgiving and people are maybe feeling some sort of nostalgia around the holidays, but it is an objectively bad type of pie.

Apple pie is boring like pepperoni pizza is boring. But they’re both fucking delicious.
Apple is low on my list of fruit pies. It benefited from it’s seedings and matchups.
For my money, fresh fruit pies>>>custard or cream pies.
Hard disagree. Pepperoni pizza’s rise to dominance is one of the times that the free market worked.

At least we can agree the only thing worse than cherry or apple pie is peach pie!
Peach is weird cos I absolutely love peaches, but the pie version is just wonk for some reason.

To those badmouthing apple pie let me say one thing
“you are welcome for your freedom”. If it wasn’t for the good ole USA, your favorite pie would be beet pie or maybe sauerkraut pie.
Like with cartoons it where goes mouse, cat, then dog everyone knows with pies it goes apple, cherry, then blueberry.

For me it’s because I love a juicy but crisp peach, whereas the pie peach is always going to be soft and mushy. Takes away half the pleasure of eating a peach.
