What corruption?

I know you find this hard to believe, but Chevron is the corrupt side here.

That which was documented by the court.

Fuck you, micro.

Like I don’t really know what the details of the actual case against Donzinger are but this is an accurate summary of his prosecution. I don’t understand how anyone can even begin to defend this violation of due process, it’s insane.

The court that found him guilty of contempt?

This is so true and what a lot of you so called leftist forget about. We are all responsible for things that happen to us. Same with George Floyd, same with Neely.

We need to start realizing that our actions have consequences but we also need to show compassion to others when they do bad things.

It was a contempt case. He refused to hand over his electronic devices. He said it violated attorney client privilege.

He wasn’t convicted of fraud. The judgement against Chevron was vacated by an arbitor, they said because of fraud.

I don’t know, Microbet, I think I’m going with The Hague over a couple dilettantes.

You monkey.

You already conceded you don’t know that Donziger is a fraud.

lol Mendoza what are you doing in this thread? Are you a prosecutor by chance?

No, I’m someone who hates people who engage in PR campaigns based on lies.

I learned about Donziger based on his appearance on a podcast a few years back. Pretty sure it was Chapo.

My “too good to be true” meter was ticked, so I did some basic research. The guy is a fraud.

Donziger is probably a fame seeking douche to a degree but he’s been on this case since 1993. It’s hardly comparable to Avanetti. And he doesn’t have to be a hero to be right and for Chevron to be a villain and also the corrupt and corrupting party in this story.

im not super familiar with this other than the blurbs i read but i think the timeline was like:
chevron poisoned a bunch of poor people while stealing their natural resources… chevron moved the case out of the US to where they thought they had bought the justice system. lost. came back to the US, bought a witness, bought a judge, bought their own prosecutors…

i dont really care if the guy they were fighting against was a bit of a famewhore. just because the lawyer isnt a good person, doesn’t mean he isn’t obviously the good guy in this specific story.

Chevron were shocked, just shocked, that Donziger was successfully gambling in Texpet’s casino. That casino was Chevron’s rightful inheritance.

No, I said I didn’t know the details. And I said that the due process violation from the judge’s/Chevron’s private prosecution of him are a total disgrace.

He came not to be served, but to serve. Servitude

You mean like this?

Or are you referring to all the Federalist society goons that you did your “research” on? Kaplan, Presska, Krauss - all the judges and “opinion” writers of this case conveniently come from the same family tree.
