America’s ranked 4th in the world in kg of meat consumed per capita. Only Cyprus, Denmark, and Luxembourg are further ahead. There’s also a culture that associates consuming meat with being tough or manly or whatever nonsense that is.

Yes you can buy spices. Not all of them. You still have to go to Sapa to get any hot peppers.
This is basically how I feel. Sausages are good, but they are basically the lowest form of meat. In a world with BBQ, steaks, fried chicken, etc., I could easily live without sausages. But ice cream doesn’t have a direct substitute.
