Fall LC thread

I… don’t get it?

Me either, like, at all. Top left is Xena, which I never watched. Top right is idk. Bottom is also idk, but I think the woman was some supporting character in Will & Grace or Dharma & Greg or some other sitcom I also never watched. Finally, the piece as a whole doesn’t follow a form I recognise (like Galaxy Brain, for example).

I guess it’s saying Boomers and Millennials are at each other’s throats while Xers and Zoomers are more chilled out? Or are enjoying the show, or just have more in common somehow? Either way, it’s a pretty thin week if that’s the best someone’s seen.

Will and Grace is a great show and the 2nd final season is coming up soon. Doesn’t really explain the meme tho

You guys are confirming my suspicions that most of us here are on the spectrum.

The age and identity of the people in the meme screaming is not to be taken literally. If you haven’t been paying attention there’s been a lot of Boomer vs. millennial chatter for a while now. Gen X generally is just apathetic and stays out of it.

Maybe none of these things are true but these are the stereotypes.

I didn’t suggest it was?

You got hung up on the shows they’re on. The meme is literally just about two groups yelling at each other while a 3rd group sits on the sidelines and does something unhealthy and subversive.

That’s what I said it was, though. You’re explaining the thing I already said.

No it’s not. You spent most of the post getting hung up on which shows were represented and how you never watched any of them. You got hung up on irrelevant details and struggled with the obvious context. Trees, forest.

I have no idea where the screaming housewife chick came from - and it doesn’t matter. I’ve never once considered it.

I did struggle with the cat meme she’s usually paired with though. I guess the cat is supposed to be confused but he always looked more pissed than anything else to me.

I’ll give you this - it probably does help to know the Karen character from Will & Grace - who’s always drinking and has a very blase attitude about everything.

But I still think you could pick most of that up from the fact that she’s pouring wine in a trick or treater’s pumpkin. Which is pretty funny on its own imo.

I’m never sure what to think of you, suzzer, but your in-depth knowledge of Will & Grace is definitely a tick in the plus column

I mean I understood the point I guess but like I don’t find it accurate at all and so I’m not sure why it’s funny. Like millennials are angry but gen z isn’t? Gen x is apathetic? What?

The show has been on the air two different times for like over 10 years. It’s hard not to pick up a little if you’re in the US.

Can confirm Gen-X apathy.

Gen Z is like 20. They are just trying to figure out life at this point. Most of their brains haven’t finished developing. Many of them are still literally children. Such as the boy with the pumpkin.

I don’t get it.

Unusual objection, but very well, I’ll remove the tick from the plus column
