I only just watched the Peloton ad. Seemed fine? The interpretation that the husband bought her the bike to slim her up seems to have been overlaid on the ad. They should probably have been more alert to how it could have been interpreted.

Reportedly, back on incredibly stupid art recently, that duct tape banana thing was sold for 120k, then they sold another banana thing for 120k, a third banana thing was going to get sold for more than that, someone just walked up and ate the banana.
This dude probably gonna go to jail but I’d definitely risk going to trial; you know how ridic it’s gonna be when they argue that he did 120k in damages for eating a fucking banana.

The story I read was that the one that was eaten was one that had been sold, but it’s cool as the buyer gets a certificate that says they can replace the banana.

The veneration of female politicians here is somewhat hard to bear for people from a country that’s had two female PMs, both of them egregiously bigoted, lacking in empathy and in general impossible to distinguish from their awful male equivalents.
If you were to make a list of PM/Presidents over the past say 50 years I’d be surprised if the females came out as being any better than the males, proportionally.
Of course I get it that they feel they have to be even more macho than the males (as is often the case in the workplace) because it’s far harder for them to succeed (as is the case in any career).

Sample size though. Canada has had one female PM who was also awful. I’d still snap take a woman over a man if given similar qualifications.
+1. One of the good points crossnerd made in her bid to be the only feminist in the village back on 2p2 was how grounded in antediluvian gender roles that attitude is. It goes back to at least Victorian times, this notion of men as dynamic hotheads only governed by the tempering force of Gentle Femininity etc.
Interesting that every example of terrible women leaders so far comes from the right.
