Why
I found my servers were being forbidden access to a number of commercial sites so oneboxes would fail to be rendered.
I was half right. Apparently HuffPo is intentionally onebox-blocking us in some other way.

Can confirm HuffPo is blocking us explicitly. Just tested the URL on another Discourse site and it expanded just fine.

Theere’s a “Should Ilhan Omar be hanged for treason?” thread over at chiefsplanet and I wonder at what point it becomes appropriate to notify the SPLC about those guys.
George Zimmerman… genuinely hasn’t suffered anywhere near enough. The kindest thing I can say about him is that free will probably isn’t real, which means he probably didn’t make any choices in this at all. I can say the same thing about every single serial killer and Mitch McConnell though.
