Elden Ring Friendship Circle

Heh, I’ve had my eye open for an illusionary wall, haven’t found any yet.

Ah fuck, just dropped Godfrey the Dickhead. Level 31, think the samurai class is OP. Dex build + daikatana seems very strong against bosses.

Oh shit, but of course.

I just pumped up both wolves and jellyfish and kinda mixed between them until I got the hands down best one in the game about 10 hours from where you are now.

I was 40 hours into the game before I realized that you could customize the scaling of your weapons. My bleed scimitars literally went from doing 110 damage per whack to 150 and the game got waaaaaay easier.

Also where are you guys getting the jellyfish summon? So far I’m basically just using the three wolves one to tank for me while I take out the first 50-75% of any given bosses health.

Yes I’m using a borderline OP dual wield bleed scimitar net build lol. I wish was good enough at this game to theorycraft it myself.

How do you customize scaling?

You get the jellyfish ashes in a graveyard with lots of jellyfish. It’s pretty early on - before the first boss.

I’m still making my way through Stormveil Castle, but I’m using the skeltal militiamen that I got from killing Tibia in the swamp. They resurrect themselves just like the skeletons you encounter, so they’re a great, lengthy distraction.

I’m not sure I understand (as I have never played the previous games). When I apply an Ash of War - I see that it changes the scaling. This seems to differ based solely on the Ash. Is there a way to choose the affinity - or are you just saying to pick an Ash that boosts the affinity I want.

huh I’m at the final boss somehow that kinda jumped up on me quick. Actually looks like I’ve skipped an entire map somehow so I’ll probably go back and do that.

I’ve 1-2 shot every boss in the last ~5 hours which is kinda surprising but yeah tank summons are very, very OP. I hit like a truck with my ranged and the bosses don’t care and keep fighting my summon. :man_shrugging:

Abusing summons seems to be essential to these boss fights.

Not really. My summons basically just buy me 20 seconds to deal as much damage as possible.

20 seconds of free attacking time is enormous.

Not fully fully free. And it’s not always that long… but my build unloads a shitload on bosses so it’s enough.

Now that I’m almost done (just have to beat the slogfest of last boss 2nd phase running back and forth in an infinite arena, fun) I’m not quite sure what to make of this game. If it was my first from game I’d be totally bewildered. Light spoiler: like an end game boss is a guy you’d recognize from what backstory you’ve listened to most likely, who’s um, alive and there for some reason. You knock his health down, cutscene, he’s like ah HA! I’m actually Foo McBarBaz, here’s my real form!, a name I’ve never heard at all. Cool.

Yeah my strategy has been to hit the boss a few times to get aggro, wait for it to aggro back on my summons and then repeat. It’s very effective if they don’t have a wide attack that nerfs your summons quickly.

What in the hell is this Radahn fight? Getting destroyed. I guess I’m under leveled at 60 but still.

Going through it with dual scimitars and no shield. Also not using summons on bosses at all.

Just beat Castle Morne Boss. Toughest boss for me so far, prob took 20-25 tries on that one.

oof he’s pretty easy might want to switch things up or upgrade weapons etc
