Do you like Concerts? What are your experiences?

Sorry, but it’s not that hard to do your own research on this one. Pick out the two or three best concert venues in your area. Go to their websites, and I think you’ll probably see a listing of concerts for the coming months.

B Level??? Would love to see any of those (although I maybe don’t know War on Drugs) if I still went to concerts.

Bands In Town is great to keep updated on shows in your area.

War on drugs is great live. Just a walk of sound in a good way.

We don’t live here anymore
Of their newest CD is a good example. Just an Americana rock band

I mean B level.

Like Taylor swift and Metallica are A-Level bands playing ford’s field

Not talent. Just popularity.

Spotify does sometimes alert me about live shows but it seems random. Maybe there is a page I could go to see it but I’ve never bothered

War on Drugs I can confirm is a great show.

Want to see Manchester Orchestra some day

Saw a band a few times this year called Almost Monday

Really young band but sound so polished. Finally breaking through on alt nation now.

Going to drive to Pittsburgh tomorrow to see the 1975 a second time on this tour 7th overall. This will put them in my top 10 finally. Had 5! shows erased due to Covid on 2020. On was bonnaroo with tool and the 1975 playing the same day. Brutal

Anyway. Can’t wait to hear 5000 teens screaming About You.

I also had bonnaroo wiped out in 2020, you catch tool there this year?

Nah. We saw tool the last two times through Detroit the last few years.

We wanted to visit Nashville for an extended weekend and that one day at BR had those two bands and glass animals and several other alt nation bands. We were going to visit Nashville and shoot down to BR for one day.

Maybe someday we will get there.

Today. The 1975 last show of the year. Cannot wait.

Saw Godspeed You! Black Emperor and Marc Maron back to back nights at a local venue last month. Been waiting 20 years for the former. Didn’t disappoint.

Yeah. After searching for shows in browser. Spotify then immediately asked if wanted notifications around live shows.

Saw a show this past summer featuring Train, Jewel and Blues Traveler that was top three all time for me and I have probably seen a hundred or so total on my lifetime

We saw this in Detroit area. Liked all three bands. First time seeing all of them.

My first reaction to this was being bummed that Blues Traveler had been reduced to being a 90s nostalgia act. Then I googled it and saw that it wasn’t even that, they were an opening act. Do I remember Blues Traveler being a bigger deal than they were? I guess it was probably just the time of my life when they were originally popular :-/

They were never that big and mostly annoying

They were legit live. Very jam band like. Was not expecting that. Check them out if you can

Train is exactly what you expect. Jewel sings well and is pretty boring. But she’s a great voice.

Well they were pretty damn popular on my freshman floor in 1991-1992!

I’m thinking I’m probably the only person here who’d answer “not really” to the question in the thread title.

I really fucking suck.

This is exactly my experience. Felt very Jam band, Widespread Panicky throughout but the difference was that Blues Traveler had a few chart hits in the 90s

Was weed popular on your freshman floor?
