Swap Beto for Castro and that lineup looks fine.

Didn’t we just celebrate the 50th anniversary of it?

Still hope for Castro and #YangGang:
As the New York Times reported today, just seven candidates have officially qualified for the third round of debates thus far: former Vice President Joe Biden, Sens. Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris, and Cory Booker, Mayor Pete Buttigieg, and former Rep. Beto O’Rourke.

Beyond that, former Housing and Urban Development Sec. JuliĂĄn Castro, Sen. Amy Klobuchar, and Andrew Yang are on the cusp of qualifying. Beyond that , no one else is even really close; Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, for example, needs a donation a minute to reach that threshold by the August 28 deadline, and still has to hit 2 percent in three more polls, according to the Times .
Drop Beto and booker from this list. Those the only five left that have a shot.

It makes me angry that the media this morning were all licking Biden’s balls.

Every answer begins with “when I was VP for Obama…”

Dude has no answers he just wants to go back to the way it was so rich white people are safe again

I’m throwing it down right here. I won’t vote for Biden.

Biden does suck. Obviously he’s better than Trump, but I’m not sure he’s worse than Mittens or Rubio or Republicans like that.

Biden would be Bill Clinton kind of dangerous. He would get any welfare reform or crime Bill kind of thing he wants passed because Republicans would vote for it and enough Democrats would go along with him.

He’s better, because he won’t pack the courts with Federalist Society ghouls. There are other things I could cite, but that by itself is enough.

I won both debates son. Prove I didn’t. My performance was right on point with the second debate. I was the pulse of the debate. What it was I was, what I was it was.

Booker deserves to be there imo, he did pretty well last night and actually seems like he belongs on a debate stage. His polling has been a bit all over the place from 0(lol) to 3. Remains to be seen if he will try to punch left but he seems to be a useful anti-Biden attack dog based on last night. His only real path seems like Harris crashing and burning and Pete continuing to poll ~0 with black ppl. Will be interesting to see strategy going forward; seems like everyone is trying to occupy the same space between Biden and Bernie/Warren.

Beto is obv hot garbage and completely done.

Ugh I will crawl through broken glass to vote for Joe fucking Biden if I have to and everyone on this board should as well.

I’m shipping a donation to Yang why not. For the lols. He deserves to be there a helluva lot more than nothingburgers like Beto.

If you’re sayinig this out of frustration I get it, but if you live in a swing state and don’t vote for the democratic nominee, regardless of who it is, I honestly can’t put into words how bad that decision would be.

Well maybe the dems should stop running republicans

Here’s a headline from a Washington Post article this morning:

‘Joe Biden was brilliantly and gloriously adequate’

I said in my head, ‘I can’t wait to see who wrote that moronic statement’. I was not disappointed to find out it was the ‘always’ ‘stellar’ Dana Milbank.

I had to stop reading when I saw this:

His lead is even greater than it was before he announced his candidacy in April.

Wow, impressive that he has a bigger lead than before he announced. How is that possible? Scintillating takes from Dana Milbank.

I’m a Pete fan

You wouldn’t be teaching the Democratic Party a lesson by staying home. They don’t really mind Trump, they’d rather him than Bernie or Warren ainec. An enormous number of people stayed home in 2016 and yet here the party is again trying to push another Republican on us.

What kind of nonsense is this?

Another hot garbage article from the debate by the NYT. They didn’t give one mention to Castro, the guy who actually won the debate. It’s clear the establishment is now throwing its full force behind Booker, since Harris disappointed them last night.

The Democratic Party establishment mainly cares about corporate interests which are better served by Trump than a progressive. Their lives aren’t affected by Trump, whereas Bernie or Warren would slow the pace of their wealth accumulation. To them, the class war is more important than the political gameshow.

Pelosi & co just wrote a blank check to ICE. To me this puts centrist Dems closer on the spectrum to Trump than Bernie, because it pretty much takes a monster to sign off on that.

Progressives are starting to gain a foothold in the party but they have to fight tooth and nail against the party machine every step of the way. We need more AOC’s to hijack the party before it can stop sucking.
