Fwiw there have been tons of articles about how the dem establishment has warmed to Warren. You absolutely can’t group her with Bernie in a “Dems would rather have Trump than them” conspiracy theory.

If that’s the case then I guess they know something about her that I don’t. Which, absent further info would swing my vote in favor of Bernie over Warren.
ETA: it’s not really a conspiracy because they’re not conspiring to do anything. They’re just pushing their preferred candidate. My point is that staying home in protest wouldn’t make them stop pushing their GOP-lite candidate in 2024, even if they figured the candidate to be an underdog. They have less to lose than they like us to believe.
If Bernie gets the nom, the Dem party will pretend to be rooting for him but IMO there will be many secretly rooting for Trump. I realize that’s “hot take” territory but so be it, I hope they start proving me wrong.

Somebody on the old site, I think it might have been goofyballer, went off on her, calling her a shill, after she made some posts about Pete. I thought it was over the top and uncalled for, and I’m glad she’s come back. Hopefully things will go differently here.
I like Mayor Pete, but probably he should be running for statewide office. I think de Blasio is the only Democratic candidate where I’m like “fuck that guy.”

I’m afraid the only path for Warren is for Bernie to drop out relatively early and endorse her (let’s say he loses Iowa and NH); then she has some time to pick off the Booker/Castro/O’Rourke/Pete crowd. But Bernie is still polling better than Warren, and if say she wins Iowa and he wins NH, he’s going stay til the end. Then you really need a Biden crash + no Harris surge, in that scenario maybe there is a plurality for either of them, but the bets are coming in against that.

iirc the argument was that her handling of it did not bode well for a future match up against Trump, since his entire campaign is just going to be based around trolling his opponent.
