Home now. The debate party I went to was a few Pete people, some undecideds, and 2 yanggangers.
They liked Amy until she started going negative.
They thought Joe had his best debate, but was still meh.
They thought Steyer and Yang both did better than expected.
They don’t appreciate that Bernie pivots to the same talking points on every question (I am not sure he did that tonight, but that was their impression). They thought his dodge of the race question was a bad look.
No clear winner from the Bernie/Biden health care scuffle
They thought Warren seemed flat tonight. Also comments that she seemed “old” and too skinny/frail. Someone said the six words about her. 
Last thing before I sign out of this convo once again. That last question was fucking dumb, but it really made me sad that both women started off by asking forgiveness for being too fired up, etc. And even though they sparred on stage tonight, here’s Pete in the spin room, standing up for Liz. Say what you want about him (I left the 2020 thread, so go on about your bad selves), but this is 100% true:

I actually didn’t know (or maybe I’ve heard it before and didn’t remember) that Biden had a stutter when he was a kid so my joke when he stuttered was definitely in bad taste, I thought it was just the old age getting to him
Edit: joe has said his verbal mistakes aren’t due to his stutter but apparently last night he was imitating a stuttering kid to get a point across? I must’ve been too drunk to catch on to that

Agree with the comments on the last question.
Especially for Warren, who genuinely seems like the nicest person on the stage. Klob obviously has the stuff following her about throwing things at her staff, etc., so meh. In any event, I’ve never felt like either of them (at least in public) seemed angry or whatever, so it sucks they feel they have to apologize for something that just isn’t true.
Bernie seemed like the clear winner of the debate. I hate Pete but thought he probably came in second. Warren completely tanked and Joe Biden was the senile grandpa that 30 percent of Dems can’t wait to elect. Will it matter? Seems doubtful. Warren really needs to drop out asap and endorse Bernie before it is too late.
I watched with someone last night who hadn’t seen Biden talk in a long time. She was horrified at the mental decline and his inability to finish a sentence without struggle. I imagine most of the people currently supporting him haven’t yet actually been exposed to his current condition either.

Biden probably had his best overall debate tbh (low bar I guess).
Warren is done. She doesn’t really have a lane anymore and she struggled to separate herself from the field last night. Literally all she had to do was keep to Medicare for All and she wins the primary.
Rankings in terms of how well they did for themselves last night:

GOPete

No1curr about Steyer.
I think Klob will probably see a mini surge to 10% or so, and GOPete/Warren will poll in about that range as well moving forward. So essentially, Biden stays in first by 5-10 ahead of Bernie, then Bernie is 5-10 ahead of GOPete/Warren/Klob tier.
