Convenient that someone in the NYT did a puff piece on Tulsi Gabbard, and how she says we are all doomed that ended up on msn.com.
I looked the writer up, as the writing was absolute horseshit, thousands of words on a nobody acting like she’s somebody. The writer is most known for being a Silicon Valley tech writer, and the last line of her bio says she’s in a relationship with Bari Weiss. And scene.
Fuck it. Bernie/Liz 2020 with Bern agreeing not to seek the nomination in 2024. Campaign slogan will simply be a menacing, wordless rendition of a guillotine. Let’s fucking go.
Thinking about stuff that hasn’t worked before and probably wouldn’t work now for what I assume are good reasons that I don’t know: if whichever of the 2 is ahead picks the other as as an early VP, maybe they pool enough support to edge out Biden at the convention. Assuming they can fade the Russian and GOP collusion and dirty tricks, the VP resigns early (bc they probably don’t really want that job) and Buttigieg or whoever is nominated for new VP. Warren and Bernie seem to be cooperating now so why not go for it if the opportunity is there. In this fantasy I prefer Warren for POTUS but the other should be happy to see the bulk of their agenda pursued.
Great Bernie Sanders Interview on the Joe Rogan podcast. Joe asks a lot of good questions and Bernie gives thoughtful answers beyond his usual sound bytes. Don’t know how to embed the video but worth checking out on YouTube.
A HuffPost/YouGov poll asking Democratic and Democratic-leaning voters whether their opinion of each candidate improved or worsened from the debate showed Harris as the only top-tier candidate whose image suffered on net.
I think it’d be a mistake for Warren to pick Bernie as VP, but the other way around would be okay if that’s who was ahead. If Warren is ahead, she could announce that Bernie would be her Secretary of HHS (in other words, in charge of implementing M4A if it passed and administering the ACA in the mean time) or something like that…
I think if Warren wins she’s much better off picking a person of color and/or a person from the South or Midwest. If Bernie wins, having a woman is absolutely critical and given his age I think just picking the best VP possible to assume the job if something happens is important. Warren checks both boxes. They’d get dinged for the all New England ticket, but it’d be worth it.
It might be more immobilizing to hear most of the candidates’ climate change platform. If the candidates had good plans for climate change it would be a no brainer to have a night dedicated to showcasing them.
Doing this would blacklist candidates from future DNC sponsored debates. (Not being sarcastic, that’s an actual rule they have in place to make sure they maintain a lock on the debate schedule)
Rofl. This seems like it will turn into some wrestling crap where there’s a mystery person showing up and when the mystery person is revealed no one cares.
