I’d argue Warren as his VP or at least her endorsement would do a lot to quell that talk, though. They were pretty heated for a bit there. Remember when a hot mic caught her saying, “I think you called me a liar on national television”? If she can forgive and unite, so can we.
Bernie announcing Warren as his VP is the obvious play at this point, with her hitting the campaign trail on his behalf throughout the rest of the primary. I don’t think he should promise to be a one-term president, though.
The bottom line is he needs a big shakeup, and announcing his VP early and getting them on the trail in the primary is the best way to do it. I can’t think of any potential VP who would cause more coverage, more excitement or have more of an impact on the campaign trail.
I’ve got Bernies biggest mistake as not having a better answer prepared for “hOw ArE yOu GoInG tO pAy FoR iT?”
I think on some level this speaks to his political naivete or lack of good strategists around him or something. He had a few years to get ready, he should have been running focus groups out the ass on various messaging strategies on “HOW ARE YOU GOING TO PAY FOR IT?”
He had a few years to get more support from African-Americans, the picture of him getting arrested should be one of the first things people think of when they think of him.
Part of what makes him endearing is part of what makes it so frustrating to be rooting for him. He has his political views, they don’t change, he shows up, he hits his message on them the way he always has, people either like it or they don’t, rinse and repeat.
How much value is there in Warren endorsing Bernie? On her core issues, there’s not much difference, so she doesn’t gain on policy by joining with him unless she makes a huge difference in future primaries.
If she could get concessions from Biden allowing her to dictate appointments for Treasury and the Federal Reserve, that probably leads to a more progressive outcome, on average, than giving a small bump to Bernie’s chances. I’m not sure if the Senator from MBNA would ever agree to a deal like that, but it’s something to consider and something she should be asking for if Biden’s campaign approaches her.
My pony rules today.
Ok except for the Buttigieg mention.
Look, fat, why don’t you go eat at Outback?
Trump is Hooters.

What an incredible and difficult to forsee strategy, it sucks for the Democrats that they’re running against this level of political genius.
cliffs?
At this point in time, I think it’s the only remaining way for Sanders to have any sort of shot at winning (unfortunately). So depends on Warren’s outlook. It’s a more high variance play, but total EV just might be higher since a Bernie presidency will definitely result in more of her agenda being implemented. The downside is she won’t get much say in the more likely Biden presidency.
I’m kind of out of words at this point.
Their real number one issue is electability. Progressives haven’t done enough to harm Biden and drive up his negatives for the general election. Cut him so he bleeds and invite the media sharks to have a feeding frenzy. If you’re not going to build bridges, then burn them. People respect a winner. In politics, victory is the best way to ask for forgiveness.
I’m disappointed that Warren didn’t go after Biden over the bankruptcy bill. I’m disappointed that no one pointed out that while Hunter Biden probably didn’t do anything illegal, Joe’s cokehead failson is part of the culture of legalized corruption that makes people unhappy and opens the door for a demagogue like Trump to exploit widespread dissatisfaction.
