Yeah its all about name recognition. It’s sadly a significant reason Trump became the Rep nominee and ended up winning.
The polls are in, and here’s who won the second Democratic debate
And who lost.

100% true. Celebrity is the real deal. The Rock would absolutely dominate if he was stupid enough to run.
So I see this headline (about Marianne Williamson being a harbinger of doom) on the Google News and, because I am a stupid stupid man, I click on it.
I begin reading, and after a moment or two think “Hmmmm, this seems to have a pretty distinct perspective. Who wrote this shit?” Then I go look. GODDAMNIT.
Somebody wrote it for him, Jr gave it a once over and that was that.
And really. Why would we exclude them.
They are still people.
Even her Web site is a fraud

I just need a few more
That seems like BS.
Convenient that someone in the NYT did a puff piece on Tulsi Gabbard, and how she says we are all doomed that ended up on msn.com.
I looked the writer up, as the writing was absolute horseshit, thousands of words on a nobody acting like she’s somebody. The writer is most known for being a Silicon Valley tech writer, and the last line of her bio says she’s in a relationship with Bari Weiss. And scene.
Like poker room managers saying ‘We just need a couple more for this sit & go’ when three people are signed up.
Tulsi is Ron Paul for the new generation.
Fuck it. Bernie/Liz 2020 with Bern agreeing not to seek the nomination in 2024. Campaign slogan will simply be a menacing, wordless rendition of a guillotine. Let’s fucking go.
Thinking about stuff that hasn’t worked before and probably wouldn’t work now for what I assume are good reasons that I don’t know: if whichever of the 2 is ahead picks the other as as an early VP, maybe they pool enough support to edge out Biden at the convention. Assuming they can fade the Russian and GOP collusion and dirty tricks, the VP resigns early (bc they probably don’t really want that job) and Buttigieg or whoever is nominated for new VP. Warren and Bernie seem to be cooperating now so why not go for it if the opportunity is there. In this fantasy I prefer Warren for POTUS but the other should be happy to see the bulk of their agenda pursued.
Great Bernie Sanders Interview on the Joe Rogan podcast. Joe asks a lot of good questions and Bernie gives thoughtful answers beyond his usual sound bytes. Don’t know how to embed the video but worth checking out on YouTube.
And who lost.
A HuffPost/YouGov poll asking Democratic and Democratic-leaning voters whether their opinion of each candidate improved or worsened from the debate showed Harris as the only top-tier candidate whose image suffered on net.
- Warren: 50 percent improved, 6 percent worsened
- Buttigieg: 32 percent improved, 8 percent worsened
- Sanders: 28 percent improved, 16 percent worsened
- Biden: 26 percent improved, 24 percent worsened
- Harris: 25 percent improved, 30 percent worsened

I think it’d be a mistake for Warren to pick Bernie as VP, but the other way around would be okay if that’s who was ahead. If Warren is ahead, she could announce that Bernie would be her Secretary of HHS (in other words, in charge of implementing M4A if it passed and administering the ACA in the mean time) or something like that…
I think if Warren wins she’s much better off picking a person of color and/or a person from the South or Midwest. If Bernie wins, having a woman is absolutely critical and given his age I think just picking the best VP possible to assume the job if something happens is important. Warren checks both boxes. They’d get dinged for the all New England ticket, but it’d be worth it.
Jay Inslee should moderate a presidential debate about climate change and live stream it somehow on the same day the DNC is having their next debate.
Good on the DNC stopping the climate change debate. Wanna make sure young people stay demobilized for 2020.
