My Mother and MIL are both dems and pretty sure they support Biden. Both are a few years out from retiring (hitting ss age) and 100% are needing social security. Wonder if they even know about Biden’s record on social security - or if knowing about it would change their voting preference.
Is this still hurting Bernie? Lyndon Johnson was calling his opponents pig fuckers (seriously suggesting they have sex with pigs) and he was pretty good at politics.
Those things would also be better under a Democratic President. I won’t bother presenting the evidence (economy, healthcare, environment, immigration, etc). Everyone here knows that any Dem Pres would be way better than Donald Trump, even if not “good” by some metric. It’s pointless to argue with dishonesty and emotional outbursts.
Bloomberg has been bombarding Ohio for the past few weeks. Every time I’m watching sports or listening to sportsball radio or even when I’m on the YooToobe, I usually get hit with an ad for El Bloombito.
Literally got another one 1 second after making this post and picked up to confirm it’s a Bernie call. So it may be 5 million calls but I’ve gotten like 50 of them so not sure if that actually counts or not?
In the ads when he says “I’m mike Bloomberg and I approve this message” or whatever I swear it sounds like he’s pronouncing his name as “blumberg” and it really confuses me.
“Yeah, video games. And I was lectured by one of the senior leaders there that by saying if I insisted on what Leahy’d put together and we were, I thought we were going to fully support, that they would blow up the network, figuratively speaking. Have everybody contact. They get out and go out and contact the switchboard, just blow it up.
“And then one of these righteous people said to me that, you know, “We are the economic engine of America. We are the ones.” And fortunately I had done a little homework before I went and I said, you know, I find it fascinating. As I added up the seven outfits, everyone’s there but Microsoft. I said, you have fewer people on your payroll than all the losses that General Motors just faced in the last quarter, of employees. So don’t lecture me about how you’ve created all this employment.
“The point is, there’s an arrogance about it, an overwhelming arrogance that we are, we are the ones. We can do what we want to do. I disagree.”
Am I having a stroke or is that text totally incoherent???!?!?!? By the way, I actually think this is a case of where Biden may have been taken out of context or at least partially. I’m sure he probably is trying to push the game violence leads to actual violence narrative here, but at least he’s also showing some initiative to crack down on Silicon Valley’s malarkey, at least that’s what I gathered after about the tenth time of reading his quotes in the article and trying to decipher what he’s saying.
