Democratic Primaries 2020 - Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?

On a related note we should legalize prostitution

I gotta say I am definitely one to get sucked into a derail but re-litigating the Fauxcohontas shit is a bridge too far for me. Who cares.

I thought this was a rhetorical question, but yes, I do.

Calm down m8.

When did Bernie visit Standing Rock?

In TX, the machine wouldn’t let you move on until you hit the more button so you could see all the candidates. Bernie was above the fold but they made sure to remind me how big the clown car really is.

That Rass poll of Bern vs Trump is unsettling only in that I’d prefer every available evidence showed Bern crushing, but I mean since that’s not happening, I will console myself with him crushing caucus after caucus and leading a coalition of people excited to vote like we WISH they had been in 2016

The correct answer is “lol Rasmussen”

Yah that too. Lol them forever and ever after them desperately rigging their own poll to reclaim their lost spot as Trump’s fave to Grandma’s Tuesday night lasagna poll or whatever it was

Schwartz noted he has yet to hear back from them

From his wikipedia page

Schwartz is a lifelong Democrat. According to NBC News, he was the largest single contributor to the Democratic Party from 1992 to 1996. In 1996, he celebrated his 71st birthday with Bill and Hillary Clinton at the White House. In 1998 Schwartz became embroiled in a campaign donations scandal and an alleged transfer of missile technology to China that occurred in 1996. He was exonerated of any wrongdoing in the campaign finance matter after a Justice Department investigation. Loral settled the missile transfer matter with the Justice Department in 2002, paying a $14 million fine and admitting no wrongdoing.

That missile transfer thing is crazy

In January 2002, Loral reached a settlement with the U.S. Government in a case relating to the company’s involvement in the disclosure of information during a review of a Chinese rocket launch failure in 1996. Loral agreed to pay a civil fine of $14 million to the State Department without admitting or denying the government’s charges. According to a House Select Committee, Loral under CEO Schwartz provided the Chinese government with advice regarding a guidance system for future PRC road-mobile intercontinental ballistic missiles. The Defense Technology Security Administration concluded Loral “committed a serious export control violation” and that the “significant benefits derived by China from these activities are likely to lead to improvements in the overall reliability of their launch vehicles [i.e., rockets] and ballistic missiles and in particular their guidance systems.” Loral paid a total fine of $20 million, the largest that a company has ever paid under the Arms Export Control Act.

And people say “Bernie’s not a Democrat!” like it’s bad that he’s not owned by some 94 year old megadonor.

I don’t think I’ll ever fully trust Chuck and Nancy but hopefully the fuck around and find out movement has scared them into not overtly screwing Bernie

Hard to tell if these are left-wing or right-wing talking points. Center-wing? Maybe it’s like one of those flying wing things.

We really need a better way to describe these than ‘left wing’. When they are terrified of the kind of socialism that right wing governments in Europe deem untouchable they’re not the left of anything. Even in the context of American politics their stance isn’t leftist in the least. They’re routinely parroting right wing talking points like how you gonna pay for it. These are not things the left does.

Sort of what I’m hoping for. Nancy may be shook but she sure as hell knows how to count.

Actually that is from 1948 when the government built those things and sent a ton of people to college for free.

Here’s an updated version - your free college funds.

It’s not up to Pelosi. It’s up to something like 5000 delegates, a majority of which have to do more than be comfortable with Bernie, they have to affirmatively vote for him. If he clears 50% of the pledged delegates it should be in the bag, otherwise, we’ll see. The closer to 50% the better for sure.
