Democratic Primaries 2020 - Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?

I like Steyer dropping out. Nevada was his top priority.

Just an aside, but it does seem pretty shitty and biased that the networks consistently show Pete, Joe! and Amy post loss speeches, but never Warren’s.

While he has blown a ton of $ in the first three states, it’s South Carolina. Has been just behind Biden/Bernie in polling there.

If Bernie wins SC, he really should thank Steyer for spending 100 million, he wouldn’t have done it otherwise.

If Steyer really likes Bernie, he should drop out and endorse Bernie before SC.

he could’ve done that at any time before blowing over 100 million but nope he tried ot win, by going after biden and sucking up to bernie. Really weird how these billionaires decided their genius plan to stop bernie was by spending a billion to take votes from everyone else who is not bernie.

That’s the great thing about america, you don’t have to be intelligent to become a billionaire.

His strategy was to focus on NV and SC, so until now he was probably still hoping. Obviously now his strategy has failed. Hopefully he doesn’t have to now fail again in SC to come to grips with it.

He’s already blown 25 million on super tuesday states. He’s sticking in it till then.

There’s a Rocky Dennis joke in here somewhere…

I believe Pete will stay in for a while to get fundraising $ and then pivot that money to the senate or house.

I don’t think Steyer is running for the purpose of defeating Bernie the way that Bloomberg is. And who would have given a rat’s ass about Steyer’s endorsement before spending that $100M?

Pete is done as a politician. He will spend the rest of his pathetic life on corporate boards and/or lobbying.

I think you are very wrong. This was his breakout moment. The establishment loves him and he has name recognition. Plenty of politicians have failed their way upward by sticking to the script.

Lawdy, I hope Riverman’s right.

Nah. Being in Indiana might hamper him, but he’ll get into the Senate or a Governor’s mansion. Regardless of the flop, it has been a huge success for a 30-something South Bend mayor to get national recognition.

I was thinking of you today, @Riverman, when thinking about dumb rich people and Tevye’s lyric “when you’re rich, they think you really know.”

Honestly I think I’d take Pete as governor of Indiana. Passing some vaguely Dem shit would be an improvement over Mike fucking pence. Then sweep him out too once the revolution is in full swing.

He has absolutely no chance of winning a statewide election in Indiana.

Yeah, the only revolution in Indiana will involve hoods and confederate flags.
