Democratic Primaries 2020 - Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?

I’ll be that guy, I expected Bernie to win today based off of polling but I also didn’t think it would be a blowout and that more or less everyone MSM source to say he’s almost certainly going to be the nominee at the end of the day but

Bernie 47%
Joe 21%
Pete 15%
Liz 9%

Just speaks for itself. Wow.

Saying something sarcastically while providing conclusive evidence the sarcasm is unwarranted isn’t a good look.

Oh, pray tell, what is a good look ™?

Is it gently nudging morons to the left and hoping for Obamacare 2.0 (this time with reduced co-pays)?

That would be a top 20% outcome based on where we’re at now, yes.

Wrong answer.

You say that as if you want the same things Bernie wants. Giving you some credit, wouldn’t Obamacare 2.0 be like the very top outcome for you?

I don’t have a preference between that and M4A. Were I in the Senate, I would vote for whichever made it to the floor.

The shortsightedness of bern’s relentless attacks on dems is he may well have a presidency with no branch of congress. There’s going to be bern voters who will not vote down ballot.

This is the exact criticisms of Trump this time 4 years ago.

I saw that one tweet, but I wouldn’t call the Campaign’s attacks on the DemE relentless.

Posted about this in the betting thread, but I agree I don’t see anyone dropping. They all have at least one or two pretty good reasons to stay in, and I think Klobuchar and Warren are at the very least going to make sure Biden doesn’t crash and burn in South Carolina before dropping. Buttigieg won’t drop while he’s second in delegates. I think Steyer is probably pot committed to Super Tuesday by now, Bloomberg sure as shit is. Gabbard is just in it for the Fox News appearances.

I also think of it from the perspective of like, at what point is someone’s campaign manager or chief of staff going to sit them down for the tough love talk of, “Sorry, you have no road and at this point staying in just damages your career going forward.”

I think Amy is the only one who is close to that at this point, and if I were in that position I’d probably shrug and say, “Ehh, let’s make Biden win a state before we surrender.”

I so want Steyer in the next debate to just totally ignore a question and instead be like, “Hey Mayor Pete, you told a touching story on Twitter about the power going out on you in Reno. I’ll donate a million dollars to the charity of your choice if you can produce any evidence that everyone held up their cell phones to light the room, cause I think you’re full of shit. Any picture, any video that shows more than a few people doing it, and your favorite charity gets a milly. … … No? Alright, then, moving on…”
