Democratic Primaries 2020 - Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?

Correct, the added value of having the draw where one pair gets you paid is > the longshot royal flush opportunities.

I’ve gotten some free slot dollars that could be used on video poker before, and 9/6 JoB is the highest EV “slot” in the casino.

That video where he says double class sizes in schools? His kids went to a school with 6 students per teacher.

Even though we all know that if you have a million monkeys work as finance bros the very most lucky monkeys will have run so hot for so long that they will be billionaires, essentially no one ever looks at a billionaire and thinks maybe they are just a lucky monkey.

Good stuff. So is JoB +EV without a sufficiently large jackpot? Or do you need to supplement it with other comps?

IIRC it’s not +EV without a high progressive jackpot, but it’s the closest to breakeven. Keep in mind I was only using promo slot dollars they gave me for free that had to be cycled through something. As a professional gambler, I would never play it otherwise. Some people play it to chase tier status as cheaply as possible.

The other thing to keep in mind is that in order to realize your EV over a lifetime sample, you’ll need to hit a royal flush at some point. Otherwise, it’s going to pay out way less than the 99.7% or whatever it is since that makes up a huge part of the EV.

It depends on who the programmer is… What is Job?

Jacks or Better

Yeah I just worked it out… Are you using your free vouchers just to get some $ back?

If so save them up as the more you feed the better the average, and if you hit big move along.

Only play the modern 1’s  There’s cheat codes for the older models

I haven’t had those offers in a place that let me use them on JoB in a long time, it’s been probably 5 years - I was just speaking off past experience that you want to hold the QJo not the JTs on the hand in question.

On some you could force jackpots if they were near enough, so that it costs you less, not cheating in essence, just using logic and making sure it keep the % high.

On the newer ones it’s not possible.

He’s clearly talking about simple farming from many centuries ago, and how the economy has changed over time with jobs becoming more complex. Bloomberg sucks. He’s a Republican billionaire racist. You don’t need to make shit up.

9/6 Jacks or Better might have the highest payout at your local casino, but it’s not the closest to break-even. Full pay deuces wild is actually 100.76% payback with perfect strategy. It’s pretty rare. I’ve heard of old men getting into fights over a quarter machine. More common is NSU (“Not so ugly”) deuces wild, which has a 99.73% payback. It’s still rarer than 9/6 JoB (99.54%), which I think is more common than anything with a better paytable, but it is becoming increasingly hard to find.

And casinos are being stingier about comps, so it has become harder to find +EV plays, but there are still video poker pros out there. It can be +EV with a sufficiently large progressive, but I have never seen a machine get even close to that big. In a place like Vegas, any VP machine that gets +EV due to a progressive is going to be locked down by a team until it hits.

For those who are less knowledgeable about VP, the naming convention for most games involves short-hand for describing the paytable. 9/6 JoB pays 9 credits for a full house and 6 credits for a flush for every credit wagered. 9/5 JoB only pays 98.45%. 8/5 JoB is a measly 97.30%.

I have limited video poker knowledge. I play it when I am close to a higher tier status. I’ve learned the strategy for JoB. The Wizard of Odds website is the go-to site for how to play video poker and table games.

I don’t about centuries ago, but like before the complex economy still farming is like famous for having to fix everything yourself. A ton to know and a ton to understand and you’re on your own to do it.

The real question is can you teach anyone to code, more specifically can you team Michael Bloomberg how to code. I’m going with no.

The problem is that drunk people often see driving home as the easier and cheaper option. They also tend to underrate how impaired they are. You say you don’t drink, so maybe you have problems understanding the mindset of a drunk.

We can keep the public safer by having less drunk people.

Confirmed never played poker, otherwise he’d ldo have AK instead of AA in the pic. It’s literally his initials ffs.

Seems fine, nothing to be concerned about.

" Experts also have raised serious concerns about the state party’s plan for tallying votes on caucus night.

Nevada officials have been using a Google-based form, pre-installed on party-purchased iPads, to register voters when they arrive during early voting. Those voters are then given a paper ballot to rank their candidate choices.

Those ballots will be verified and scanned at processing centers before they are somehow transmitted to precincts for the in-person caucuses. On caucus night, caucus administrators will access the early vote data through the Google Forms web application the party has referred to as a “Caucus Calculator” on party-issued iPads.

Some technical aspects of how the iPad software will work are unclear.

Google Forms is limited in how it can be customized, which could present challenges for the party if it is trying to make the software perform the complicated work of folding the early vote tallies into the caucus night results.

“Browser-based forms don’t work well,” said Joe Verschueren, founder of Formotus, a company that makes customized forms that can interact with Google Forms.

“Google Forms is very simple,” he added.

Nevada Democrats said their new process reflected input from independent security experts, the DNC, the Department of Homeland Security and Google, which was consulted “to ensure the process would remain secure.”

“We understand just how important it is that we get this right and protect the integrity of Nevadans’ votes,” Nevada State Democratic Party Executive Director Alana Mounce wrote Thursday in a memo to presidential campaigns. “We are confident in our backup plans and redundancies.”

But it’s not clear exactly how the party has been working to vet security issues. A spokeswoman for DHS said in an email that the agency is in touch with the DNC and the Nevada State Democratic Party and “will continue to provide any support they request.”

Volunteers also have begun sounding the alarm, saying party officials have left them unprepared.

Seth Morrison, a volunteer site leader, had publicly raised concerns about the party’s mixed messages to volunteers and the lack of hands-on training on the Caucus Calculator.

He said several people have raised questions about different scenarios they might encounter, like whether an early vote with no viable candidates should be thrown out. Nobody seems to know, he said."

caucuses are fun for everyone except their opponents who seem to deplore clairvoyance
