Welp it’s finally happening, wife who never raises her voice about anything, is currently screaming at her brother on the phone about “holiday plans”. Spoiler we aren’t going to see them for reasons you can probably figure out.
Brother could be a model for the usuals featured all the time on HCA.

Spoke with my stepmom about the will. I have DPA if something happens to her, but she said something about how my dad has percentages going to various conservative causes. She hinted that she would axe that shit if he dies first. Not likely as her mom lived to 98, but she smokes a pack a day at least. It bothers me to know that a portion of any money left will go to fuckheads like the proud boys.
My in laws are visiting today. They live 45 minutes away. They showed up unannounced 30 minutes early.
I’m good with the death penalty for this behavior.

Remember everyone when dealing with deplorable family members and friends just bad faith the fuck out of them, call their sources biased, say both sides are bad, etc. before they have a chance to own you. Any time something political is brought up just say “ugh I hate talking politics, people don’t want to listen to the other side and just get their information from social media” before saying anything. You must get in the first own no matter what.

Well you plant your stake with the ones you have to interact with. I planted my stake with my mom on Trump early and often. She knew it would be a big problem for our relationship if she became a Trump fan.
I think also my stepdad being a very moderate Republican probably made the bigger difference. But still, my mom used to try to get me to listen to Rush Limbaugh and Dr. Laura. She doesn’t do that anymore. We’re closer to on the same page now.

My dad’s mind is mostly gone, so my deplorable interactions are with my stepmom now. I visited with my kids a month or so ago and my son mentioned that Bernie says what he wants and dgaf what anyone thinks and stepmom immediately said “Just like Trump, self made man, blah, blah blah”. I jumped down her throat and told her Trump’s a fucking moron and has been a lying POS dumbfuck since at least 1980 when he was touted as NYC’s most eligible bachelor every other week on the front page of the National Enquirer. SM asked for an example of his lying an I asked her if she’d ever heard of John Barron (head shake no). Told her the pathetic story of Trump calling into a radio show talking himself up (but not disguising his voice at all), named his son Barron (what a coincidence!) and haven’t had to talk politics with her since. Dad was obviously upset and tried to accuse me of having TDS but couldn’t quite get there. He thinks I’m his older brother every time I visit now so no harm no foul, I guess.

Looks like my mother moved out of his place.
Originally, they were set to retire and live somewhere together (she told me she considered The Villages lol). Then, my sister found out she was pregnant. Now, my mother wants to be close to her grandson. She wants to sell her house and move near them. Guess her deplorable boyfriend didn’t want it. So, she moved her stuff out of his place. When I asked how he factors into things, she said that he doesn’t. Not sure if they’re separated completely or just not in a relationship.
This won’t stop my mother from being deplorable but he definitely pulled her further to the right and was pretty open about his racism. She’ll be better off closer to my sisters and her grandson.

My sister is one of the biggest idiots I’ve ever come across. She is 40 and works at a coffee shop and dates losers. She went and got her real estate license 2 years ago to try and provide a better life for her, her son, and her loser boyfriend who isn’t vaccinated because “bro I kayak”. She’s basically an ex “hippy” turned deplorable MAGA. Super big into conspiracy’s and is overall one of my least favorite people on this planet.
I had to unfollow her on IG because it makes my blood boil, but every once in awhile my wife texts me images of her posts from her business account. I have no words. Shocking that she has never sold a house.

My 64 year old parents who have less than $100k in retirement also give her money every couple weeks as well. It’s just a really great situation all around.
But that’s not her place, right? That’s a place she’s selling.
I mean I really don’t get it. Sure, Lars sucks as a drummer and Napster was a big issue he was way wrong on but what could warrant such a toilet?
I don’t even know if it’s that? Looks like she is posting it for engagement, which is even dumber, because who in their right mind would see this and start emailing her real estate questions.
