To be clear, the vaccines work, it’s just that there may not be any significant benefit yet to giving most people a booster.

It’s going to be a stats puzzle. There will be people that have both Covid and vaxx acquired immunity, unvaxxed folks with natural immunity, etc. on top of that there will be confounding factors of mask use (both the individual and where they go) along with behavioral issues (do the vaxxed go out more than the unvaxxed)???
A lot is going to be judged on antibody measurements before and after. FILs “step” son is in the booster trial for Pfizer I think.

I’d suspect that 90+% of these are bogus. The actual numbers willing to take a dishonorable discharge have to be very small.

Where do we think a vaccine refusal is going to land someone? I’m kinda betting a general discharge that can be upgraded after a year.

In a 2014 study, we found the fear of death is vastly out of proportion with it’s likelihood. The average person only dies once in their entire lifetime.

I just can’t do any media coverage of this thing anymore. There is basically nobody in media consistently delivering the message that this shit is happening because of Republicans, or even that it’s happening because people won’t get vaccinated. I’ve seen more than a few “DeSantis wins the pandemic” takes IN THE LAST FEW WEEKS.
Idaho is now rationing healthcare and Nate Silver can’t figure out why people are so worried about this virus. Must be because of “mixed messages” or some such thing.

What? The media is constantly delivering the message that this is happening because people won’t get vaccinated. Every MSM outlet, every day.
A person I went to high school got booted from the army or something for refusing the anthrax vaccine. Not sure exactly what happened but it was news at the time.
