Uh yea, make the mandates rain.
After a week of school held one of my kids out for a day to get tested due to cold-like symptoms and just got this from my other kidās school. Things are going great!
We are writing to inform you that we were recently notified of someone on our campus who has tested positive for COVID-19. The individual who tested positive was on-campus last on August 20, 2021. Out of courtesy and transparency, this notification is for information only and DOES NOT impact your child or their attendance. We are keeping you informed as your child attends school on the same campus that had a person test positive for COVID-19. Out of respect for the individualās privacy and pursuant to California privacy laws, no other information can be shared.
Upon learning of the situation, a district health personnel immediately began contact tracing. If you have not been directly contacted by a member of GUSDās health personnel, you have not been identified as a person who had direct exposure as defined by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (āCDCā).The health and safety of our staff and students is our priority. Throughout the pandemic, we have adhered to all guidelines from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health and worked closely with medical experts in the field in developing our plans and protocols. We will continue to keep all staff informed and encourage all staff and students to follow all safety protocols (maintaining physical distance, appropriately wearing a facemask, frequently washing hands, and sanitizing frequently touched surfaces) to avoid the spread of COVID-19.
FL hospitalizations have been within a range of 200 patients for 6 days now. Itās possible it suddenly starts to go back up, or that it stays at a plateau because this is the stone cold limit of capacity, but the hospitalization patterns in different places have been pretty consistent throughout the pandemic: they tend to increase dramatically until they hit a wall, crest for about 10 days, then fall somewhat steadily. My guess* is by Labor Day Florida hospitalizations are moderately below their current levels.
*This statement is a guess.
LFS - same here. My kids have been in school (high school and middle school) for three weeks and weāve gotten a couple of those notifications each week, including today. Had an actual āclose contactā one for both, as well.
dlk9s jr has been home Friday and today with a cold. Could have sent him today, as he felt well enough, but his cough is still prominent, and it just wouldāve distracted everyone, thinking he had COVID. Did at-home tests Friday and yesterday and he was negative (also did a drive-through PCR test a couple Saturdays ago and it was negative).
Does it count as murder if the people being murdered donāt care if they get murdered?
Assisted suicide then. Pretty frowned on on right wing circles.
I heard one report most or all of the docs participating were off duty.
Turns out @suzzer99 ponied me in the Media thread lane.
Can we get a ruling? Iād like to like this post, but a I am unsure if that is acceptable.
Which thread to put this in must have been a touch one. So many choices.

Ugh, I have to go to Florida next week for work and Iāll be on an exhibit floor for 3 days. Itās a medical device exhibit so I expect most people to be vaxxed, but who knows.
Iāll be double masking, but plz send your thoughts and prayers.
Who in the hell is holding a fucking medical conference in Florida right now?
I edited my post to clarify that itās not a scientific conference but a medical device expo.
Iām supposed to fly to Tahoe next month. State is on fire and COVID ripping. Think I fucked up and bought nonrefundable flights.
TRUE PATRIOT DOCTORS!!!
