That was my thinking about the covid-factory gym I go to 4x/week.
8 months or so seems to be the correct recommendation, but that may not be well known. Iâve been trying to talk my parents into getting them.
My vaxxed 75 year old dad lived with my unvaxxed 64 year old stepmother who had symptoms for over a week before going to the hospital and dying and my dad never got any symptoms of anything. (double Pfizer)
I wouldâve naively assumed that nurses would be vaccinated.
My sisters have thankfully come around on the infertile thing. Turns out one of my sisters was one of those legit, âLet others take the hit and see what happens firstâ type before getting hers. The other believes sheâll need one to go to a destination wedding in Ireland. So I guess sheâs willing to risk the whole infertile thing for a wedding.
Only person in my family who I contact that hasnât been vaccinated is my mother.
Kinda the same. Though I suspect that this cold I have that hasnât improved over the last 5 days despite treatment is actually a breakthrough covid case. Will find out tomorrow.
I wouldâve thought so too. Iâm not sure if their facility just happens to fall within some loophole where there is no applicable state/federal mandate or if management is ignoring the rules, but from what I gather from Stepmom, their facility has not only not mandated the shots yet, but is actively hiring folks who left jobs at other local hospitals because of the mandate.
It absolutely blows my mind that anyone is not vaccinated. Like I walk around just assuming everyone has gotten it, even though intellectually I know thatâs not true. Itâs breaking my brain, even though I have the information I cannot process the stupidity.
See if he gave that as his reason for macking on that other girl, people would be more forgiving!
This x1000. It blows my mind. I think because my immediate circle (family, close friends) are all super super pro-vax it has skewed my perception. Recently met a girl in her 20s who seems pretty intelligent and not insane. Third or fourth time I was with her (all outdoors thankfully) she mentioned âIâm not vaccinated and donât plan to beâ when discussing her new jobs vax or weekly test rule. I couldnât even react. Just broke my brain.
I had something two weeks ago where I basically had the sniffles for a day or two (which is super common for me due to allergies) and then suddenly my lungs hurt and felt tight for a day, but no fever, no loss of taste or smell, no body aches, good 02 levels on the finger thing, etc. Was going to get tested the next day but it cleared overnight.
Now Iâm sick again two weeks later. Massive head cold, headaches, my face hurts, post nasal drip, and some coughing with phlegm production. Again, no fever, no loss of smell, and good 02 saturation. Will probably get tested today, but it sure seems like a garden variety cold to me.
I was talking to a bartender recently who isnât vaccinated. I was literally speechless.
seems like he should get a pass for steppin out
Insanity. Not getting vaxxed when you have any public facing job like that is just astoundingly dumb. At least the girl that broke my brain is young, absurdly athletic and fit, and has worked remotely for the duration of the pandemic until this past week. So I guess I can understand the naivety and poor decision making probably assisted by social media propaganda. New job will be in the office 8 days a month I think though. I just canât wrap my head around deciding to still not get it given everything we know at this point in time.
Heâs willing to lose everything. As losers do.
Standing up for anti-freedom vaccine mandate, but willing to lose his freedom? So then get vaccinated you self absorbed fucktwat.
Heâs willing to lose his freedom to be free. Its a deep concept I guess. Iâm working hard to understand it.
