COVID-19: Chapter 6 - ThanksGRAVING

Good to know. I have a feeling that while my immediate family has kept this at bay, the clock is ticking.

I have a headache cough and low grade fever today. Obviously I have always been at pretty high risk of getting it. I also had to have a dipshit client in my office Monday. We wore masks obviously but it was 45 minutes of prolonged interaction. Hopefully it is just the DTs as today is the first alcohol free day in a couple weeks.

Any nursing home workers or their immediate family members plus the bride and groom need to be charged with murder. I’m so sick of this bullshit.

Come see me in the spirits or drunk thread and we can test this hypothesis

Also, I’m leaving this thread. I’ve barely contributed to it at all, but it’s just too depressing for me at this point. Things are going to shit and we all know it. I have to stop reading about it for at least a little while. Thanks to all the people on the front lines itt and stay safe.

I hate how every little less than perfect feeling makes you think uh-oh.

I must say its been pretty weird to go through about eight months without really a hint of a cold. And I’m usually pretty prone to them. I guess I’ve had a couple sniffly days because of allergies, but nothing really close to worrisome at this point. Knock on wood.

Hopefully that’s not a side effect of the vaccine as well and the offspring of anti-vax morons inherit the earth.

“Nate does literally anything but polling” never goes well.

The people responsible for the messaging at the WHO should also resign

He’s not saying anything that outlandish. The confounding variables could be if a % of those who already got it had mild enough symptoms that they don’t have that much immunity.

But some places will undoubtedly have a lot more than 30% infected by next spring when the vaccines really roll out in earnest. Once those places can get vaccines to the few who stayed isolated, like nursing homes, the virus might not have much fertile ground left to plow.

I don’t know if all families are like mine - but Christmas is like 10x more potential super-spreader events than Thanksgiving, more people traveling, more people together in general. It’s just mindboggling to imagine what the bump from that will look like.

I may get stranded in Costa Rica when they shut down all non-essential air travel or something. And I’m ok with that.

You put respect on the burrito brackets right the fuck now

She there already?

All decisions made should be for my entertainment. Not the thread. Me personally. Feel free to PM if you don’t know what to do.

She lands on the 12th. I’m going from the 20th to the 30th. This is the least pumped I’ve ever been for a vacation. :( But if I bail I’ll never know if something long term could have happened with this girl.

It’s really bad timing for Christmas. Covid will be peaking everywhere and vaccines won’t be here fast enough.

Christmas should be postponed really.
