It turns out the lie was that this guy said he just went and grabbed a pizza from the pizza bar, but really he had worked several shifts there. I assume he lied because his employment arrangement was illegal in some way, cash in hand maybe or contravention of visa conditions. So anyway authorities must have looked at this and been like, shit, patient zero seems to have got it from smear transmission and now this guy got it walking in and grabbing a pizza, how insanely transmissible is this thing? That’s why the reports initially about a “very aggressive” strain of COVID being involved, because it looked like even casual super brief contact would transmit it.

Apparently nothing is going to happen to this guy lol. The questions you get asked by contact tracers aren’t under oath or asked by law enforcement, so there are no consequences for lying.
It starts Saturday.
I think they’re trying to specifically target bars/social gatherings. Because just about everything else seems to be allowed.
Then just close the damn bars.
