My wife and I spend every Thanksgiving alone with us and the dog just eating and drinking all day. It’s honestly my favorite holiday. No change this year except I got a beefy prime rib to cook. Christmas is going to be tough. Her mother might hate us for not coming and I know my wife is going to be super emotional about it.

I’ve missed Thanksgiving with the parents like only 3-4 times in my life. Gonna be bummed out but maybe I’ll make something fun like a chili.

Flying back to the states for Christmas is looking more and more risky by the day.
Still doing it because I ain’t spending Christmas alone in a flat while everybody else is with their family. Got plenty of N95 masks to spare.
Man, if Star City got pozzed, it’s hard to see how any lockdown can be 100% secure.
An Assistant Football Coach at a college in Iowa died this week from Covid, less than 2 weeks after testing positive. That team is playing a home game tomorrow. This one really hit me for some reason. Just wtf are we even doing here?

It was 70 degrees in Michigan for like 10 days in November and we still spiked.

Yup. More like 5% per day growth. My horrifying extrapolation was at 3%.
2.3 fold by end of November at 5%. Only 1.65 fold if 3%.
Low end is 300k per day by Dec 1. 400k possible.
And those translate to 6,000 or 8,000 deaths for Xmas day.
Good lord. It took the U.S. about 2.5 months to hit 1 million confirmed cases (starting Feb. 15). We’ve had a million in the past week.
