You need two doses to be vaccinated. So getting 10m doses means 5 mil people get vaccinated.
That’s not the story I’m hearing. Our curve is on a clear exponential trajectory again. What metrics are you using?
Thanks!
This feels a bit to me like a “land of the blind” situation, I definitely wouldn’t celebrate Ontario’s situation. We have plenty of yahoos, too.
This hits home for me. We are privileged enough to be able to somewhat handle our child’s virtually learning. (although it’s a daily struggle and we are helping her with homework all the way to bed time and on the weekends)
But I just can’t help think about the kids that don’t have as much daily interaction with their parents and the parents who don’t take the time to learn about ADHD and how to handle it.
Multiply that by tens of thousands. It hurts thinking about it.
Things are getting bad here, no doubt and Ford needs to do better, but someone did post a graph of cases per 100k with all states and provinces and Ontario was like 55th.
edit: it got reposted before my pony arrived.
edit 2: was right about 55th
Thanks. I have the disadvantage of being very proximal to Ontario’s problems because my wife works in a hospital and is subject to all the warnings and real risks of the surge overriding their capacity. It’s hard to be enthusiastic in that context, even if Manitoba is doing worse.
I have a cousin that works in mental health services for underserved youths that posted this article about COVID and mental health affects yesterday. It’s tough work in normal times.
My understanding is that when they say doses they are already factoring 2/person.
Anyone know for sure?
You seriously have to be one of the dumbest fucking people in this country to have gone on a cruise right now. I do feel bad for the employees though.
A dose is a dose, a vaccine is 2x doses.
@Habsfan09 is correct here.
My statement was in quotes as Boris Johnson was stating this soon after the Pfizer statement was made - probably a slip of the tongue.
Because that’s totally what America needed in 2020… more mental illness. We barely have a mental health system in this country lol.
Anyone take your buddy up on shared, possibly pozzed Uber rides?
It was just a screenshot so I’m not sure of the responses. I’ve completely separated myself from the pozzfest except for when people send me updates.
Meanwhile, I’ve chosen to live in a county with the stupidest county supervisor on earth
Just got an email from my dad that he and my mom are going to spend Thanksgiving in Orlando, FL.
After my initial WTF reaction, I continued reading and it looks like it’s not quite as bad as it could be. They are going to visit my aunt who has cancer and is regularly tested for COVID, so they are pretty comfortable that she doesn’t have it. And they say they won’t be visiting any other family members, which is a good thing because at least one of my extended family in Florida got pozzed earlier in the year.
Still wish they would just sit tight at home this year.
Lol WHAT?
