In more no shit news, little kids can A) be low to now symptoms and B) infect others.
Shocking. Just like every other respiratory virus.
Dunno about respiratory viruses in particular, but my experience is that little kids show more and more severe symptoms for most illnesses than adults.
Unpossible I was assured kids aren’t contagious!
I’m sure you’re all shocked.
“CDC to me appears to be writing hit pieces on the administration,” appointee Paul Alexander wrote, calling on Redfield to modify two already published reports that Alexander claimed wrongly inflated the risks of coronavirus to children and undermined Trump’s push to reopen schools. “CDC tried to report as if once kids get together, there will be spread and this will impact school re-opening . . . Very misleading by CDC and shame on them. Their aim is clear.”
These fuckers are fanatics.
I’m surprised that no one (of the ones who couldn’t do it) didn’t try to just brute force it with one hundred individual lines of code to account for each number. Would be even better as a troll move.
LOL at Wilmette being “middle class”. According to Wikipedia, Wilmette “ranks 47th on the list of highest-income places in the United States with a population of over 10,000”
He said ‘north’ and there isn’t a northern suburb that isn’t rich as shit but yeah, probably Skokie then.

That would have been my first guess as well after he said “north”

wait how in the fuck is this news
I did a little exercise out of curiosity. I wanted to know what the top 50 counties were in the last measurement from the UMD Impact Analysis Platform from 9/1-9/7 and then compare that top 50 to 7/28-8/3, still one of the hottest times in the pandemic. Here’s the list and I’ll provide some additional color below:

19 counties dropped out of the top 50 from 7/28-8/3 to 9/1-9/7. They were replaced unsurprisingly with alarming jumps in a lot of places. What do almost all of the new places have in common? That’s right, colleges. I couldn’t figure out what was causing the rise in Alameda County, CA but most if, not all of the other rises of places that were in both top 50s are explainable to colleges. Many of these places went back to school August 17 or August 24, so these trends happening fast are obviously bad.
These were the new entries or places that had rises in cases that were previously in the top 50:
Cook County, IL: most likely University of Illinois Chicago, several opening next week
Lubbock County TX: Texas Tech
Franklin County, OH: Ohio State University
Leon County, FL: Florida State, Florida A&M
Honolulu County, HI: University of Hawaii (Aug. 24)
Richland County, SC: University of South Carolina
Jefferson County, KY: University of Louisville
Wayne County, MI: University of Michigan Dearborn
Champaign County, IL: University of Illinois
Utah County, UT: BYU
Philadelphia County: Temple University, University of Pennsylvania
Boone County, MO: University of Missouri
Knox County, TN: University of Tennessee
Clarke County, GA: University of Georgia
Montgomery County, OH: A lot of colleges here but University of Dayton isn’t open
McLean County, IL: Illinois State University
Greene County, MO: Missouri State University
Skokie makes sense because iron is basically a communist there.
Whack a mole. And once we get past OFS, major cities are going to open or increase dining indoors and businesses are going to bring back more folks into the office.
Fauci throwing some shade at Trump and especially his touting of hydroxy, tho without using those names.
I couldn’t figure out what was causing the rise in Alameda County, CA
I mean, it’s one of the largest population centers in the country and has massive commuting swaps with Santa Clara county, so if you are seeing a rise there, there is no surprise that Alameda is eating shit too.
Sort of amazed he hasn’t been canned. I can’t really think why. It can’t be because they care about blowback.
Here’s our Czech PM
He isn’t quite as narcissistic as Trump. So, most of his tweets are related to boring political events. But he has the occasional gem like this one on covid-19:
https://twitter.com/AndrejBabiis/status/1304141005713743874
Translation: We are fighting against Eco-terrorists from successful states who have opened their borders too soon. That’s why we have so many infected. The trend of infected people is declining. Today we have two fewer infected compared to Tuesday. We set an example to the world.
I once suspected that his twitter account was fake due to the lack of verification. However, every Czech politician account is unverified. He goes on crazy retweet storms but most involve news stories and boring shit he supposedly does but really isn’t anything remarkable. Basically, it’s what the Twitter account of an incompetent billionaire turned politician would look like if said person was slightly more intelligent than Trump.
He isn’t a political appointee so firing him is a bit trickier.
They could still do it, but easier to just sideline him.
